Red Dawn is the 2012 remake of the 1984 Charlie Sheen/Patrick Swayze film of the same name. The remake stars Chris Hemsworth (as Jed Eckert) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (as Lt Col. Andrew Tanner) and involves an invasion of the continental United States by a powerful, Communist-backed enemy force. Originally, the invaders were depicted as originating from China, but has since been changed to North Korea; this is mainly due to concern that a negative depiction of the PLA may result in the Chinese government banning any future MGM films, such as the upcoming 23rd James Bond film (Similar concerns and changes also happened during the development of the videogame Homefront, which itself is also a story about a powerful Communist force invading the United States).

The following weapons will appear in the remake of the film Red Dawn:

Handguns

AKM (Modified to resemble AK-103)

The standard assault rifle of the Korean Peoples Army (KPA) in the film appears to be the AKM, visually modified with the addition of plastic furniture and AK-74-style muzzle brakes to resemble the AK-103. Russian soldiers are also equipped with similar AKMs, but with additional full-length railed handguards.
