Rasputin is a 2011 Franco-Russian television movie directed by Josée Dayan. As an itinerant preacher and healer, the Siberian peasant Rasputin travels through the Russian Empire. When even the pious Tsarina Alexandra invited him to court, his work aroused the disfavor of the Russian generals. With the entry into the war in 1914, Rasputin's influence became ever more dangerous.

Handguns

Mauser C96 M1930

An anachronistic Mauser C96 M1930 (obviously standing in for an earlier, original model C96) is used by Yakov Yurovsky (Andrey Astrakhantsev) to murder Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family. During the actual execution, Yurovsky used both a C96 and a Colt M1911.

Charging the pistol to put Alexandra out of her misery. The stepped barrel is clearly seen. Tsarina Alexandra's execution was actually performed by a heavily intoxicated Peter Ermakov, the local leader of the Red Guards tasked with guarding the tsar and his family.

Nagant M1895

Felix Yusupov (Filipp Yankovsky), Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia (Danila Kozlovsky), Vladimir Purishkevich (Igor Sergeyev), and the Bolshevik firing squad use g post-1930 Nagant M1895 revolvers.

Another Nagant revolver is fired by Vladimir Purishkevich to stop Rasputin from escaping. In reality, Purishkevich used a Savage 1907 pistol during the assassination.

Mosin Nagant M91/30

Russian soldiers are mainly armed with Mosin Nagant M91/30, standing in for the earlier Imperial variant. All the fighting scenes are taken from the 2008 Russian movie Admiral (Trivia: The main actor portraying Admiral Alexander Kolchak, Konstantin Khabensky, also has a minor role in this film as Aron Simanovich, Rasputin's personal secretary).
