Marcel Reich-Ranicki is a 2009 German TV movie directed by Dror Zahavi about the life of the literary critic Marcel Reich-Ranicki. Fall of 1938, a few months after graduating from high school, Marcel was deported to Warsaw and moved to the ghetto in 1940, where he also found the love of his life: The wedding day with Teophila (called "Tosia") coincided with the start of the eviction of the ghetto. Marcel's parents, his brother, and Tosia's mother are deported to the extermination camps. In February 1943 Marcel and his wife managed to escape from the ghetto to the Warsaw underground. In the 1950s, both decided to take an unusual step: they went back to the Federal Republic of Germany.
The following weapons were used in the film Marcel Reich-Ranicki:
Hand Guns
Luger P08
A Luger P08 pistol is briefly seen used by a German officer.
Nagant M1895
A Red Army soldier (Maxim Kovalevski) is seen giving a Nagant M1895 revolver to Marcel Reich-Ranick (Matthias Schweighöfer).
Submachine Guns
MP40
Many German soldiers are armed MP40s. First seen during the German invasion of Poland which is clearly an anachronism.
PPSh-41
Some Soviet soldiers can be seen with PPSh-41s.
Rifles
Karabiner 98k
What looks like a Karabiner 98k is held by one German soldier.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Soviet soldiers are armed with Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifles at the end.
Wz. 29 Mauser
Various German soldiers are seen with Wz. 29 Mauser rifles.
