Life on Mars is the American remake of the UK television series. It aired on ABC from 2008-2009 and follows a present day NYPD detective (Jason O'Mara) who after getting hit by a car, finds himself living in the year 1973.

A Heckler & Koch MP5 is used by an ESU member in 2008, in the premiere "Out Here in the Fields".
