God Bless America (2011)

God Bless America is an American black comedy written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait starring Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr. Murray plays Frank Murdoch, a man with nothing to lose who embarks on a quest to rid America of rude and mean people.

The following weapons were used in the film God Bless America:

M1911A1

Frank Murdoch (Joel Murray) uses a M1911A1 for part of the film.

World War II issued Colt M1911A1 Pistol - .45 ACP

Frank (Joel Murray) loads his M1911A1. By the look of the barrel, this appears to be a .22LR model of the M1911 style pistol, like the Colt ACE

Frank holds reality TV star Chloe at gunpoint. In this shot, the gun appears to be a normal pistol.

Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr) examines Frank's M1911A1.

Frank's M1911A1 switches to an Auto Ordnance M1911A1 for scenes when the gun actually has to fire.

Modified MAK-90

The gun dealer sells Frank a Norinco MAK-90. The thumbhole stock was replaced by an aftermarket pistol grip and the rear tang was covered up with a wooden block. One can still see the 'ground down' bottom of the front sight, which was mandated by ATF when it approved the MAK-90 for import. Frank and Roxy use this during the finale.

The gun dealer quotes a great man, "AK-47, when you absolutely, positively have to waste every single muthafucka in the room, accept no substitutes."

Note that the wooden block has either been replaced by a black plastic block or has been painted black.
