The following weapons are seen used in the film Forrest Gump:
M1 Garand
One of the first guns seen in the film is the M1 Garand, seen carried by National Guard soldiers protecting black students during the integration of the University of Alabama.
M14 Rifle
During the scenes when Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) is training at Boot Camp, he and the other recruits are seen assembling M14 rifles, Forrest finishing his in record time.
M16 Rifle
During Forrest's time in Vietnam, he, like many of the other soldiers in his platoon are armed with M16 rifles.
M1911A1
