Emma Wheeler (Mary Steenburgen) has a 20 inch Winchester 1894 Lonestar Commemorative with "EMMA" engraved on a medallion in the buttstock. This rifle is used as a plot device during the movie.

Paul Morgan (Hugh Grant) is bruised when he shoots the Winchester.

M1911

A Colt M1911 is carried by Clay Wheeler (Sam Elliott) though he never removes it from his holster.
