Devil May Cry (Japanese: デビル メイ クライ?) is an anime series based on the video game series by Capcom, in turn very loosely based on the Italian epic poem Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. It is set sometime between Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 4. It debuted on the WOWOW TV network in Japan on June 14, 2007 and ran 12 episodes
Devil May Cry follows the story of the demon hunter known as Dante. As a half demon, half human, he uses his trusty sword Rebellion and his two guns Ebony and Ivory to take on missions. Dante owns and runs "Devil May Cry," a business that specializes in hunting and killing demon-related problems.

Ebony and Ivory

A scheming devil points a Smith & Wesson Model 36 .38 Special at Dante's back. Of course, a tiny and weak gun cannot kill Dante, and he promptly reminds the cowardly demon of this fact.
S&W Model 27
After getting attacked by devils, a cowardly stalker gets a Smith & Wesson Model 27 with a 3.5 inch barrel. He does not use it though.
