Cargo 300 (Gruz 300, after the Russian military code for wounded soldiers) is a Soviet 1989 war movie directed by Georgiy Kuznetsov. During the Afghan war a Soviet column heads to the bridge in mountains. A unit of mujaheddins under the command of American instructor Cooper plan to destroy the bridge and block the Soviet troops. Cooper plans to use the cars of Soviet geologists as a cover for his attack.

The chief of geologist group (Pyotr Vashchik) carries a Stechkin APS.

A mujaheddin is armed with the Sa.26 SMG.

A mujaheddin is armed with the Sten Mk II SMG.

Pattern 1914 Enfield
Several mujaheddins carry Pattern 1914 Enfield rifles, probably used as a substitution for SMLE.

Soviet soldiers are mostly armed with AKS-74 assault rifles.
AKS-74U
Some Soviet officers and warrant officers, and mujaheddins are armed with AKS-74U assault rifles.
AKS-47
Many mujaheddins carry AKS-47 assault rifles.

Some AK-47s are also seen.
Sturmgewehr 44 (modified to resemble M16)
Some mujaheddins carry Sturmgewehr 44 assault rifles, visually modified with the addition of a carrying handle, a modified front sight and shorter magazines to resemble the M16 rifle.
Machine Guns and Autocannons
PKM
PKM machine guns are used by both Soviet troops and mujaheddins. PKMs are also mounted as door guns on Mi-8 helicopter.
PKT
Coaxial PKT machine guns are mounted on T-62 MBT, BMP-2 AIFV and BTR-80 APC. PKT, fitted with spage grips, is mounted in the nose of Mi-8 helicopter (it was the common practice during the Afghan war and subsequent local conflicts until modern days).
RPD
A mujaheddin fires the RPD.
DShKM
Mujaheddins use a DShKM heavy machine gun on tripod.
KPVT
KPVT heavy machine guns are mounted on BTR-80 APCs.
AZP-23 "Amur"
23mm quad AZP-23 "Amur" mounting with 2A7 autocannons is the weapon of ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" SPAAG.
Shipunov 2A42
30mm Shipunov 2A42 autocannons are mounted on BMP-2 AIFVs.
Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2
30mm Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2 twin autocannon is mounted on Mi-24P helicopter.
Other Weapons
RPG-7
RPG-7 rocket launchers are used by both Soviet troops and mujaheddins. Models with iron sights and PGO-7 scope can be seen.
Type 69 RPG

120mm Mortar 120-PM-43
A mortar that appears to be Soviet 120mm 120-PM-43 is seen in mujaheddins training camp.
Tucha Smoke Mortar
81-mm 902V Tucha smoke mortars are mounted on T-62 tank.
