Almost Human is a 2013 science fiction television series produced by J.J. Abrams. Set thirty-five years into the future in which a new wave of criminals armed with high-tech weaponry and a new synthetic drug plaguing the streets, the overwhelmed LAPD implements a new strategy in which all human officers are now paired with an advanced combat-model androids as partners. After being left for dead in an ambush by an android, costing him the life of his partner and right leg, Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) has a strong hatred for robot partners. But once he is paired with the Department's more older model android a DRN or Dorian (Michael Ealy), a machine with the ability to feel and act human, the two unlikely partners take on the fight to retake the city.

Handguns
CAA Tactical RONI-G1
Reinhardt (Tim Kelleher) uses a CAA Tactical RONI-G1 fitted onto a Glock 17 during the pilot. The RONI is also fitted with a small jar-like device on the forearm, and the weapon shoots plastic webs that can cover a person's face.
Timecop Beretta (visually modified Taurus PT99)
In "Pilot" (S1E01), what appears to be the "Timecop Beretta" (due to their being first mocked up for the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme sci-fi film Timecop) is used.
Submachine Guns
FNP90
LAPD MX combat androids and LAPD officers use FN P90 submachine guns fitted with futuristic embellishments in the series. LAPD Detective Richard Paul (Michael Irby) picks up, and uses a P90 during a shootout in the pilot episode.
Shotguns
UTAS UTS-15
Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) uses a UTAS UTS-15 shotgun with a laser-pointer in the beginning of the pilot episode. Some LAPD MX combat android's uses the UTAS UTS-15 too in the series.
