Almost Human is a 2013 science fiction television series produced by J.J. Abrams. Set thirty-five years into the future in which a new wave of criminals armed with high-tech weaponry and a new synthetic drug plaguing the streets, the overwhelmed LAPD implements a new strategy in which all human officers are now paired with an advanced combat-model androids as partners. In "Pilot" (S1E01), what appears to be the "Timecop Beretta" (due to their being first mocked up for the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme sci-fi film Timecop) is used.
