Age of Heroes (2011)

Age of Heroes is a 2011 British action film about Ian Fleming's 30 Commando Troop - the forerunners to the SAS - during a top secret mission in occupied Norway.

The following weapons were used in the film Age of Heroes:

Rifles

Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*

The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* rifle is used by Corporal Rains (Danny Dryer) and his section during the prologue in Dunkirk.

Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* - .303 British. This was the main battle rifle of British and Commonwealth forces during the First World War, introduced in 1907 it has seen action throughout the 20th century.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T)

Sharpshooter Riley (Guy Burnet) is armed with a scoped Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T) rifle.

Karabiner 98k

Several occupying Waffen SS troops in Norway are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles.

M1928A1 Thompson

The M1928A1 Thompson, fitted with a simplified rear sight, is the main weapon of 30 Commando Troop, including Major Jones (Sean Bean) and Rains (Danny Dryer).

MP40

The main weapon of the German troops in Norway is the MP40, most notably a Waffen SS soldier (Dominic Ryan) who uses it to execute Norwegian civilians for aiding the resistance. 30 Commando Troop use captured MP40's in training, and bizzarely, Brightling (Stephen Walters) carries one in Norway.

Bren Mk1

Brightling (Stephen Walters) carries a Bren Mk1 in training. It does not make an appearance in combat in Norway.

MG42

Sergeant Mac (William Houston) commanders an MG42 during the attack on the German base, using it to great effect. Since the film is set in 1941, it's appearance is anachronistic.

Norwegian Resistance contact Jensen (Izabella Miko) is armed with a Charles Parker 1878 Side by Side Shotgun.

Colt M1911A1

The men of 30 Commando Troop, noticeably Rains (Danny Dryer) and contact Jensen (Izabella Miko) are armed with Colt M1911A1 pistols.

Webley Mk VI

Rains (Danny Dryer) uses a captured Webley Mk VI to hold Major Jones (Sean Bean) at gunpoint and secure his escape from Military Prison.
