Major "Whirlwind" (Mayor "Vikhr")

Major "Whirlwind" (Mayor "Vikhr") is a Soviet 1967 B&W war mini series directed by Evgeniy Tashkov and based on the novel by Yulian Semyonov. In 1944 a Soviet special group under the command of Major "Vikhr" ("Whirlwind") is sent to Nazi occupied Krakow. Together with Polish resistance they must prevent the destruction of the city, planned by SS high command.

Luger P08 pistols are used by Soviet agents "Vikhr" (Vadim Beroev), Anya (Anastasiya Voznesenskaya), Kolya (Viktor Pavlov), Polish resistance fighters and German officers.

Walther P38
"Vikhr" (Vadim Beroev), Anya (Anastasiya Voznesenskaya) and Polish resistance fighter Józef (Aleksandr Shirvindt) use Walther P38 pistols. Due to a continuity error, in the final scene Anya's P38 switches to a P08.
Submachine Guns
MP40
"Vikhr" (Vadim Beroev) uses an MP40 in several scenes. MP40s are also used by Polish resistance fighters and German soldiers.

In the final scene "Vikhr" uses an MP38, then it switches to MP40.

PPSh-41 SMGs are briefly seen in hands of Soviet soldiers.

Polish resistance fighters and German soldiers use Karabiner 98k rifles.

Double Barreled Shotgun
Abwehr Col. Berg (Vladislav Strzhelchik) carries a double barreled shotgun when he goes in forest to contact with "Vikhr" under the guise of hunting.

RGD-5 Hand Grenade
A post-war RGD-5 hand grenade is taken from captured "Vikhr". Anya (Anastasiya Voznesenskaya) is seen with a same looking grenade.
F-1 Hand Grenade
An F-1 hand grenade is seen in Anya's stash.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Model 24 Stielhandgranates are used by Polish resistance fighters and German soldiers.
