Talk:Homicide: Life on the Street
I'd like to point out that Frank Pembleton uses a Sig P220 or P225 in the first season.
- Actually, he used a P226. -MT2008 21:49, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Really? In the episode where him and Alec Baldwin's character go to the junk yards, it looked like it was a single stack Sig. I know that he uses a Glock full size in everything season 2 on.
- It's actually Daniel Baldwin. Alec always talks about how people mix the two of them up, and tell him how they loved the show and how fat he looked on it. --funkychinaman 12:51, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
I've seen every episode, and I have the first three seasons on DVD, so I can cap it eventually, but off the top of my head, an M1911 was used in the episode where Robin Williams guest stars as a man who's wife is shot in a mugging. He noted how big the bore looked. (And he was really good in that episode too.) --funkychinaman 12:51, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Daniel Baldwin's character Beau Felton returns for one episode after Baldwin left the show. His body is found in a house, staged to look like he shot himself in the head with a pistol gripped, pump action shotgun. In reality, he was working undercover, got made, and executed with a bullet to the head, and shot in the head with the shotgun to disguise the bullet wound. --funkychinaman 13:58, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that episode (Bop Gun, I think it's called) was AMAZING. Not only was Robin Williams fantastic in it, but I feel it's one of Melissa Leo's best performances in the series. And I loved how it emphasized the humanity (or inhumanity) of Daniel (not Alec, but they look the same in the 90's!) Baldwin. Yeah, that was definitely a 1911, but I'd guess it was one of those new fangled 1991s or something, cause it was a weird looking 1911. God, that was a good episode, I don't think I'll EVER forget it. 98.228.89.248
MP5Ks
I just popped in an episode last night, and the QRT team was prominently involved. It looked like the MP5Ks that they had were fake. The barrels looked way too long to be real MP5Ks. There wasn't any firing involved, so they could be just airsofts or waterguns. I'll try to take screen shots. --funkychinaman 13:55, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
I think they used Daisy Airsoft MP5Ks in that episode. Like the ones in The Silence of the Lambs. But in the Season 5 two-part episode "Hostage", which has a lot of QRT, they did use genuine MP5Ks. --500Magnum
Pre-emptive apology
I'm starting to get caps for this show, and I don't know if it's the DVD codec I have or because the show is from the early nineties, but some of these early caps won't look as good as DVD caps should. --Funkychinaman 17:53, 25 August 2011 (CDT)
- Just discovered the frame by frame button on VLC. Maybe that will help. --Funkychinaman 16:30, 22 September 2011 (CDT)
Compact Beretta?
From the shot below, it looks like Bayliss might be using a 92FS Compact. Any thoughts? Were they around back in the early nineties?
