Revision as of 03:03, 7 October 2009
The weapons seen in this movie are:
Handguns
Single action Revolver
The black woman during the ship scene is carrying what looks to be a nickel plated Colt Single action Army.
Walther P38
Eden uses a custom suppressed Walther P38 as her main handgun during the capture of the slaver's ship. Latter the same handgun is used by Sol during the highway chase scene.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
On the box cover art there are three what appear to be Smith & Wesson Model 19's carried by Sol (Craig Conway). Bill Neilson (Bob Hoskins)uses a nickle plated S&W Model 19 to try and save P.M., John Hatcher (Alexander Siddig).
Webley Mk VI
P.M. John Hatcher uses an old .455 Webley to commit suicide after being infected with the virus.
Vektor CP1
Several of the DDS soldiers are shown using this pistol, most notably after the soldier wielding the Armsel Protecta runs out of ammo.
Submachineguns
Armscor BXP
A guard durring the ship scene carries an unknown machinepistol. due to the scene being filmed in South Africa it may be an Armscor BXP submachinegun.
Rifles
SA80
The SA80 assault rifles in this film appear to all be Airsoft replicas with the effects of firing digitally added in. the reason for this is the film was made mostly in South Africa and SA80s are practically nonexistent in South African movie armories as far as we know.
Vektor CR-21
Most of the DDS agents carry Vektor CR-21 assault rifles equipped with flashlights, laser sights, and sound suppressors.
Unknown Sniper rifle
A British sniper stationed on the wall snipes an infected man with an unknown bolt action sniper rifle.
Could that be a Parker-Hale or Gibbs with a after-market stock?
Shotguns
Neostead Shotgun
A Neostead shotgun is used in the abandoned hospital scene, notably to cause the elevator to fall down its shaft.
Armsel Protecta
An Armsel Protecta is seen momentarily during the crashed APC scene.
Unknown Sawed Off Shotgun
An unknown over/under shotgun is used to take a DDS agent hostage and is then accidentally discharged into the hostage's head.
Unknown Pump Action
The woman bathing in the cast-iron tub aboard the ship has an unknown pistol gripped pump-action shotgun.
Heavy Weapons
Vektor SS-77 Machine Gun
Instead of the British Army issued L7A2, the trooper on the top of the armored vehicle is using a Vektor SS-77 GPMG. the reason for this was that the armorers in South Africa where the movie was filmed probably wouldn't let them use the L7A2 props.
Prop Sentrygun
A prop Sentrygun is used during the Border wall scene. it is shown messily destroying a rabbit that gets too close to the wall.
Vektor MG-4
During the hospital scene the DDS troops pass a Vektor MG-4 version of the Browning M1919 machinegun. It's mounted on what looks to be an anti-aircraft tripod and the debris of twenty years of neglect.
Helicopter Doorgun
A mock up of either a General Dynamics GAU-19/A or a General Dynamics M197 Vulcan is mounted on the SuperFrelon chopper. While the bore diameter is that of a .50 BMG the rounds in the belt appear to be 20mm.
