Enter the Matrix is the 2003 videogame tie-in to the second and third films in The Matrix Trilogy. Written and directed by The Wachowskis, the game follows Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Ghost (Anthony Brandon Wong) as they participate in events that run concurrently with The Matrix Reloaded. The cutscenes were shot concurrently with the films and with actors from both the second and third films.
The following weapons appear in the video game Enter the Matrix:
Game Weapons
The following lists the weapons featured in actual gameplay:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS Compact
The Beretta 92FS Compact (as evidenced by it's short barrel and small size) appears as a common pistol on most levels, used by police officers and SWAT.
Beretta 9000S
The Beretta 9000S appears as Niobe's primary handgun in the game.
Colt Mustang
The Colt Mustang appears as the main sidearm used by security guards in the Post Office. Referred to as ".380 Pistol" when it's a 9mm as explained in the in-game profile.
Glock 18
A fully-automatic Glock 18 can be found in a few missions. As with other pistols in the game, it too can be dual-wielded. Referred to as "18C Automatic Pistol". In at least the PlayStation 2 version of the game, this weapon does not have an in-game model and instead seemingly uses the model for the 92FS. In the in-game profile, it has a 34-round capacity; this could only realistically be accomplished by loading a full 33-round magazine with a round already in the chamber.
Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle appears in the game as the primary weapon used by the Agents. It can only be obtained after killing an Agent. Erroneously, it appears as the default pistol in custscenes, carried by various characters who do not carry them in-game, such as Police officers, SWAT and the Logos crewmembers. Called the ".50AE" and holds 8 rounds instead of 7 rounds. The .44 magnum version holds 8 rounds.
SIG-Sauer P229 Sport
The SIG-Sauer P229 Sport appears as Ghost's primary handgun, dual-wielded at the start of a mission. Referred to as "P229".
Strayer Voigt Infinity
The Strayer Voigt Infinity appears in the Merovingian's mansion, carried by his Henchmen. Referred to as "1911"
Submachine Guns
Colt 9mm Submachine Gun (RO635)
The Colt 9mm Submachine Gun (RO635) appears as a single-shot weapon, found in the Post Office, Airport, Sewers and Power Plant and carried by very few enemies.
Cobray M11/9
The Cobray M11/9 appears in the game being used by both rebels and SWAT officers in the Sewer levels. Referred to in-game as "Mac-11"
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
The Heckler & Koch MP5A2 appears in the game as a weapon frequently used by the SWAT officers. Ghost also employs one of these weapons when riding shotgun in the car chase levels. Default cut-scene submachine gun/assault rifle. There is no paddle magazine release which means that this could be a Heckler & Koch HK94A2.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
The Heckler & Koch MP5K appears only in the Xbox version of the game, using the same render and name (but different in-game model). It can be found in the Sewer and Power Plant levels.
Heckler & Koch UMP
The Heckler & Koch UMP is a commonly used weapon in the Merovingian's mansion and at the power plant. It is chambered in .40 S&W as seen in its in-game profile and seems to be equipped with an unusable C-More red dot sight and custom handguard, in the same configuration used by The Twins in The Matrix Reloaded. Interestingly enough, the Twins also pursue Niobe and Ghost as they're escaping the Merovingian's mansion, one of them firing on the two with a UMP just as seen in the aforementioned film.
Shotguns
Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser
The Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser is another shotgun that appears in the game, most notably seen sitting on a table in a cutscene during the Sewer level where Ghost or Niobe (depending on who the player chooses) is loading up to aid other rebels being pursued by SWAT. Referred to in-game as "Entry Shotgun".
Cobray Street Sweeper
The Cobray Street Sweeper appears in some levels, such as the Sewer. Referred to in-game as "SS/Street Sweeper Shotgun".
Assault Rifles
M16A2 Rifle
The M16A2 rifle appears in the game being used by SWAT, though is rarely seen. It appears to stand in for the M16s used in the famous lobby shootout scene of the first film. It is incorrectly depicted as holding 30 rounds in a 20-round magazine and is shown in the menus with an M203 grenade launcher directly attached somehow to the A2 handguard.
SIG SG 551
The SIG SG 551 appears in the game being used by SWAT, though rarely seen. In-game magazine capacity is 60 rounds, despite using the model of a 30-round magazine. Referred to in-game as "SG-552 Commando".
Heckler & Koch HK33SG/1
The Heckler & Koch HK33 appears in the game fitted with a scope and bipod, used by SWAT snipers. It uses an incorrect 18-round magazine, as opposed to 25 rounds in the real weapon.
Light Machine Guns
Heckler & Koch MG36
The Heckler & Koch MG36 appears in the game being used by SWAT, though is rarely seen. It uses a Beta-C dual drum magazine, yet only contains 60 rounds.
M240B Machine Gun
The M240B machine gun can be seen in the hands of one of Soren's men in the Airport level. It can only be obtained with a cheat code. It holds 120 rounds and is equipped with an unusable bipod.
Sniper Rifles
Barrett M107 Sniper Rifle
Incorrectly called the "M95", the Barrett M107 is used by SWAT snipers. It holds an incorrect 18 rounds of 9mm para per magazine instead of the 10 rounds of .50 BMG in the real weapon. The Barrett M95 is in fact the bolt action bullpup version of the Barrett M82. It is seen mainly in the Airport and Power Plant levels.
Launchers
Milkor MGL
The Milkor MGL can be found on a rooftop during the Chinatown level.
"Power Plant Methane Gun" (Standalone GP-25)
In the power plant the protagonist picks up "some sort of grenade launcher". Sparks says it is a "cholobromo methane gun used to get to fires when a fire extinguisher can't get to it". It fires a pressurized C02 cartridge that robs the fire of oxygen. A little side effect is it causes human lungs to fill up with water, and can drown both enemies and the player character alike. The game calls it a "GP-25 Launcher," which it is closely modeled after albeit in a standalone configuration similar to the RGM-40 Kastet.
Grenades
Rubber Stinger Grenade
In some cutscenes, a Rubber Stinger Grenade (potentially the Model 9590 Sting-Ball Grenade) is used as a high-explosive grenade, likely in place of an M67 hand grenade. However, in-game, this model/render is used for the Stun Grenade, as would be expected.
Omni Blast 100 Tactical Distraction Device
The Omni Blast 100 Tactical Distraction Device is used in some levels as a flashbang grenade.
"HB Multi-Port Plus Teargas Device"
In two sections of the post office level, HB Multi-Port Plus Teargas Devices are used against the player character.
TD Multi Port Plus Distraction Device
In game, a TD Multi Port Plus Distraction Device erroneously appears in the in-game profile for the Grenades as Offensive Grenades, with seemingly no in-game counterpart.
Offensive Grenade
A high-explosive hand grenade appears in-game as the "Offensive Grenade".
"Demo Charge"
A shaped demolition charge is available in the Sewer levels. Instead of being a remote-controlled explosive, they act as a more explosive Offensive Grenade and can only be thrown short distances.
A different model appears in the in-game profile for Demolition Charges.
Other
Crossbow
Used only in the chateau section, an "Antique Double Crossbow" is usable by the player as one of only two weapons effective against his Henchmen, the other being the Wood Stake.
Long Sea Service Pistol (converted)
While in the Merovingian's chateau, the player will occasionally see antique armor and weapons on display, including at least one Long Sea Service Pistol converted to percussion lock. These weapons cannot be used, though the display cases containing them can be destroyed.
Cutscene Weapons
The following lists the weapons featured in the cutscenes of the game:
Pistols
Beretta 9000S
The Beretta 9000S is carried by Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) as her primary handgun. She is seen pulling it when confronting Persephone (Monica Bellucci) as well as in a meeting with the Keymaker.
SIG-Sauer P229 Sport
Ghost (Anthony Brandon Wong) packs a stainless steel SIG-Sauer P229 Sport as his sidearm which appears to be chambered in .357 SIG in game, but in this case, it's chambered in 9x19mm. He is briefly seen loading it in the car as he and Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) locate Morpheus during the freeway chase.
Browning Hi Power
A Satin Nickel Browning Hi-Power is seen being wielded by Cain as they ambush Niobe, Ghost, and the Keymaker in the Maintenance Passage.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
A Heckler & Koch USP Compact is seen being wielded by Abel as they ambush Niobe, Ghost, and the Keymaker in the Maintenance Passage.
Heckler & Koch USP Match
Captain Ballard (Roy Jones Jr.) pulls an all-black Heckler & Koch USP Match when he confronts Seraph (Collin Chou).
Shotguns
Stevens 67 (Sawed-off)
During the meeting where the machines' plan to attack Zion is revealed, Wurm, one of the Zion rebels guarding the door is seen carrying a nickel Stevens 67 shotgun with a sawed-off barrel, black pistol grip and foregrip.
Smith & Wesson 3000 Shotgun
During the meeting where the machines' plan to attack Zion is revealed, one of the Zion rebels stands guard with what appears to be a Smith & Wesson 3000 shotgun.
Submachine Guns
Calico M951
During the meeting where the machines' plan to attack Zion is revealed, one of the Zion rebels stands guard with a Calico M951 submachine gun.
