| + | Hello. It has been awhile. I got that info about the trigger guard from the ''Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson; 3rd Edition'' by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas, page 293. I also own the 2nd Edition and I just checked it as well. Says the same thing. I and others helped Mr. Nahas (last time I checked he was the curator for the NRA's museum in Virgina now) when he was putting together the 3rd Edition over on the http://smith-wessonforum.com with adding additional info, correcting mistakes and so on. Hell he thanks everybody to include me (Checkman). So I guess I'm taking it as an article of faith that it must be correct since it wasn't changed. However mistakes do happen and sometimes those mistakes get through the cracks and eventually become accepted as correct when they aren't. I can see (from left to right), an AR with a triangular forearm (M16A1 or AR15 SP1, I can't tell, but the selector appears to be on semi!), an FN MAG, an MP5A2 with slim forearm, a shorty AR with a 10" barrel, an AKM variant, an FN Minimi, a G36E, two AR carbines with what appear to be 14.5"+ barrels, what I believe to be an MG3 and an MG42, and then a PK or PKM. Based on what I see I'm assuming it is a .577 Nitro Tyrannosaurus Rex rifle built personally by the Mauser company's greatest gunsmiths based on the Mauser rifle type extractor/bolt release and the Mauser style firing pin striker seen on the gun. At first I thought it was a Model 70 or a Mauser sporterized and then they show what big ass rounds he loads in it so now I just don't know. I figured of all, you'd likely know best. Also, if it is a T-rex rifle, I'd likely need a picture of it because as usual, the internet sucks for finding gun pics.
