Firestarter is a 1984 science fiction thriller directed by Mark L. Lester and based on the eponymous novel written by Stephen King. A married couple, Andy (David Keith) and Vicky (Heather Locklear), who both developed psychic abilities after a government experiment, produce a daughter, Charlie (Drew Barrymore), with pyrokinetic abilities that make her the target of "The Shop", the government agency that conducted the original experiment. A film remake premiered on the streaming service Peacock on May 13, 2022.
The following weapons were used in the film Firestarter (1984):
Revolvers
Colt Detective Special
Most of Department of Scientific Intelligence (DSI) agents carry Colt Detective Special revolvers.
Colt Python
In the final scene John Rainbird (George C. Scott) is armed with a Colt Python with 4" barrel.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Several of DSI agents carry Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB revolvers with 4" and 3" barrels.
Unidentified revolvers
Pistols
M1911 style
In the final scene several of DSI agents are armed with M1911 style pistols.
Unidentified pistols
Submachine guns
Uzi Carbine
In the final scene DSI Agent Hunt (Carey Fox) is armed with an Uzi Carbine with custom barrel shroud.
Rifles
Remington Model 700
Irv Manders (Art Carney) takes a Remington Model 700 rifle with sniper scope when the DSI agents appeared on his farm.
Armalite AR-7
Armalite AR-7 with sniper scope is used by John Rainbird (George C. Scott) in one scene. It appears as a tranquilizer dart gun.
Assault Rifles
