This weapon is something of a conglomeration of various designs; The upper receiver, charging handle, and magazine are from the [[SIG SG 510-4]]. The lower receiver, folding stock, and receiver hinging system are from a [[FN FAL Paratrooper]]. While the barrel, flash hider, gas tube, and bipod draw from the [[Galil Sniper Rifle]], the bipod is attached in front of the receiver like a Galatz rifle. The rifle also has an [[IMI Galil ARM]] handguard, a heat shield over the barrel, and the size of the magazines suggests that is is chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO (both the dialogue and the director's commentary describe it as being a ".30 cal."). The overall design also bears a resemblance to the [[Stoner 63]] machine gun. | ||

The following weapons were used in the anime film Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence:
Pistols
Futuristic IMI Jericho 941
Batou carries a futuristic IMI Jericho 941 derivative with a railed frame, a low-profile rear sight, and what seems to be a slightly longer squared-off slide, likely meant to be the "Jericho 942" from the first film.
Smith & Wesson 6906
Batou uses a Smith & Wesson 6906 equipped with a ring hammer as his backup gun in the convenience store shooting when he thinks he is under attack.
Stechkin APS
Batou takes a Stechkin APS fitted with a stock from Yakuza officer Wakabayashi after shooting down the two grenades he throws at him and Togusa.

SIG-Sauer P228
A Yakuza thug draws a SIG-Sauer P228.
Revolvers
Manurhin MR-96
One Yakuza thug draws a very rare and obscure Manurhin MR-96 revolver. Interestingly it is depicted with a non-existent stainless steel finish when Manurhin MR-96s were only ever made with a deep blued finish.
Mateba 2006M
Togusa continues to carry his Mateba M2007, a fictional version of the Mateba 2006M, from the previous Ghost in the Shell film.
Ruger Super Blackhawk

Submachine Guns
Ingram MAC-10

Steyr TMP
Anti-Firearms Squad officers are in possession of Steyr TMPs stocked in the opening.
FN P90/Izhmash PP-19 Hybrid
A guard on a plant ship has a submachine gun based on the FN P90. This gun uses 9x19mm ammunition instead of the 5.7x28mm used in the P90, and uses a helical magazine like the Izhmash PP-19.
Assault Rifles & Carbines
Batou's Assault Rifle
During the film's finale, Batou uses a fictional assault rifle. This weapon is something of a conglomeration of various designs; The upper receiver, charging handle, and magazine are from the SIG SG 510-4. The lower receiver, folding stock, and receiver hinging system are from a FN FAL Paratrooper. While the barrel, flash hider, gas tube, and bipod draw from the Galil Sniper Rifle, the bipod is attached in front of the receiver like a Galatz rifle. The rifle also has an IMI Galil ARM handguard, a heat shield over the barrel, and the size of the magazines suggests that is is chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO (both the dialogue and the director's commentary describe it as being a ".30 cal."). The overall design also bears a resemblance to the Stoner 63 machine gun.
Bushmaster Arm Pistol
One of the Yakuza thugs is seen using a Bushmaster Arm Pistol.
FAMAS G2
One Yakuza fires at Batou with a FAMAS G2 using a 30-round STANAG magazine.
Steyr AUG A1
One Yakuza thug fires a Steyr AUG A1 with a birdcage flash hider.
Shotguns
Futuristic Norinco SAS-12
In the opening sequence of the film, Batou uses a short barreled semi-automatic shotgun with a pistol grip and heat shield to stop a homicidal and "suicidal" love doll. He also has the shotgun with him in the final scene. It seems to be solely based on the Norinco SAS-12 but with a more beefed up receiver, a left side charging handle, and both a paddle and AR-15 style magazine release.
Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser
One of the Yakuza thugs uses a Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser.
Machine Guns
FN Minimi
Batou, to the dismay of Togusa, uses a FN Minimi to mow down a group of Yakuza thugs. Also worth noting is that the weapon has an unusual blue muzzle flash, as do most other weapons in that scene.
Other Weapons
Integral Cyborg ARMGUN
In the final fight with the dolls, Batou uses a double barrel gun hidden in his forearm.
Phalanx CIWS
A group of five Phalanx CIWS turrets can be seen firing at a mansion in Togusa's digital nightmare.
Hand Grenades
Yakuza Officer Wakabayashi throws two grenades that resemble M67 hand grenade's down a flight of stairs to Togusa and Batou.
