The use of a SIG-Sauer P226 is faithful to reality, since the latter was El Patron's preferred pistol. However, the pistol seen in the show is a later-generation (mid-1990s to mid-200s) P226 with a milled slide, whereas in 1993, only the earlier P226s with stamped slides would have been available. The real-life weapon was also blued, based on photographic evidence, which the pistol in the show is a two-tone model. |

Zero Hour is a documentary-style television series broadcast on History Television, The History Channel, 7Mate and the BBC from 2004 to 2006, where it ended with a total of 16 episodes spread over 3 seasons.
In the episodes, the series dramatizes and recreates the events before and after the most tragic, important or remembered events by the society of the time. Usually with the witnesses and/or survivors of the events that the series recreates in its episodes. Despite its short duration, Hora Cero generally had good reviews and a good reception from both the general public and critics.
Zero Hour had a single narrator per season, David Morrissey, Paul McGann and Sean Pertwee, respectively.
The following weapons were used in the television series Zero Hour (2004):
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
Assault team leader Guillermo Aguillar (Sergio De La Roncha) and several of his men use a Beretta 92FS in the hunt for Pablo Escobar Gaviria in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). Saddam Hussein (Fouad Barsoum) is armed with a Beretta 92FS while hidden from the US Army Soldiers in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). A group of Turkish police officers are armed with Beretta 92FS when they arrive at the bar where Mehmet Ali Ağca (Elhan Babazadeh) was hiding in "The Plot to Kill the Pope" (S2E06). The Major Alan Marshall (Clive Standen) receives a Beretta 92FS from one of the British Royal Army soldiers when he is finally found with his soldiers in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01). Prince Dipendra (Ashish Kapoor) uses a prop Beretta 92FS in "A Royal Massacre" (S3E03). Several California police officers carry a Beretta 92FS to attempt to arrest Larry Phillips Jr. (Zac Hutton) and Emil Mătăsăreanu (Jeff Franco) during the North Hollywood bank robbery in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05). Several agents of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) carry a Beretta 92FS with laser sights as their service weapon in "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).

Sounds familiar?
Browning Hi-Power
Mehmet Ali Ağca (Elhan Babazadeh) carries a Browning Hi-Power with what appears to be a front target sight as the pistol that he would use to commit the attack on Pope John Paul II (Brian Crabb) in "The Plot to Kill the Pope" (S2E06). The Major Alan Marshall (Clive Standen) is armed with a Browning Hi-Power which he gives to Foday Kallay (Lulama Masimini) as a form of surrender in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01 ).
CZ 75
One of the Peruvian army soldiers is seen with what appears to be a CZ 75 or some variant in in "Hostage Rescue in Lima" (S3E04).
![](/images/thumb/7/7a/Z.H_CZ_75-1.jpeg/600px-Z.H_CZ_75-1.jpeg)
M1911-Style Pistol
One of the US Marines searching for Saddam Hussein in Iran is armed with an M1911-style pistol in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). Presumably it is a modernized variant.
Glock 17
Deputy Neil Gardner (Shane Harbinson) uses his service Glock 17 against Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold during Columbine's shootout in "Massacre at Columbine High" (S1E03). Timothy McVeigh (Ben Johnson) carry a Glock 17 as his personal sidearm in "One of America's Own" (S2E02).
SIG-Sauer P226
Pablo Escobar Gaviria (Carlos Congote) uses a SIG-Sauer P226 as his personal sidearm during "El rey de la cocaine/Matar al rey de la cocaine" (S2E04).
Taurus PT92AFS
Larry Phillips Jr. (Zac Hutton) arms himself with a stainless Taurus PT92 AFS (standing in for the Beretta 92FS Inox that Phillips used in the real-life robbery) after his AKS-47 during the failed North Hollywood bank robbery escape in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05).
Revolvers
Colt Single Action Army
One of the many weapons that Prince Dipendra (Ashish Kapoor) has in his personal arsenal is a Colt Single Action Army which he briefly inspects in "A Royal Massacre" (S3E03). Unlike the other weapons seen in the episode, the Colt Single Action Army appears to be genuine and not a mockup or prop.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
One of the agents of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 as a service weapon in "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).
Machine Pistols
Intratec TEC-9
Dylan Klebold (Josh Young) uses a TEC-9 as one of the firearms he uses in the Columbine High School shooting in "Massacre at Columbine High" (S1E03). The episode shows clips of home footages made by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, where the latter uses a TEC-9 Mini to practice his aim in a forest and which he would later use in the Columbine massacre.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
One of the officers who stops Timothy McVeigh on the highway carries a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 in "One of America's Own" (S2E02). Several agents carry the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 during the assault on Pablo Escobar Gaviria's hideout in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). The agents of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) carry their Heckler & Koch MP5A3 in "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).
Heckler & Koch MP5SD3
One of the US Army soldiers searching for Saddam Hussein in Iraq is armed with an Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). Several Peruvian army soldiers armed with Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 during hostage rescue at the Japanese embassy in "Hostage Rescue in Lima" (S3E04).
Heckler & Kock UMP
One of the US Army soldiers searching for Saddam Hussein in Iraq is armed with an Heckler & Koch UMP as his personal firearm in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05).
IMI Uzi
Several agents carry a IMI Uzi during the assault on Pablo Escobar Gaviria's hideout in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). In this same episode, the Uzi is also used by one of Pablo Escobar's men (Reg Taylor) who protects him in the hideout. One of the members of the terrorist group MRTA carries a IMI Uzi as his personal firearm in "Hostage Rescue in Lima" (S3E04). A member of the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) is armed with an IMI Uzi during the "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).
Rifles/Carbines
AK-47
One of Saddam Hussein's men gives his leader an AK-47, so he can defend himself against American soldiers should they find his hideout in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). The vast majority of members of the Sierra Leonean armed group West Side Boys are seen carrying AK-47 rifles to ambush and kidnap soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01). One of the members of the Islamic Armed Group (GIA) carries an AKS-47 during the hijacking of Air France flight 8969
AKS-47
All of the MRTA terrorists carry an AKS-47 during their hostage operation at the Japanese embassy in Peru in "Hostage Rescue in Lima" (S3E04). Larry Phillips Jr. (Zac Hutton) and Emil Mătăsăreanu (Jeff Franco) carry AKS-47s with battery chargers to commit the North Hollywood bank robbery in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05) . In real life, Phillips and Mătăsăreanu used modified Type 56-1 similar to those seen in the episode. One of the members of the Islamic Armed Group (GIA) carries an AKS-47 during the hijacking of Air France flight 8969 in "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).
![](/images/thumb/3/33/Z.H_AKS-47-2.jpeg/600px-Z.H_AKS-47-2.jpeg)
![](/images/thumb/4/42/Z.H_AKS-47-11.jpeg/600px-Z.H_AKS-47-11.jpeg)
Colt M16A2
A line of soldiers practice their marksmanship with several Colt M16A2 in "One of America's Own" (S2E02). Several British Royal Army soldiers carry Colt M16A2 rifles during Operation Barras in "SAS Mission: Impossible" (S3E01), some modified to carry M203 grenade launchers. Several SWAT team officers are armed with Colt M16A2s to put an end to the threat of North Hollywood bank robbers in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05).
Colt M4A1
Several agents from the squad that raids Pablo Escobar Gaviria's hideout carry Colt M4 carbines as their service weapon in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). One of the US Army soldiers searching for Saddam Hussein in Iraq is armed with an Colt M4A1 in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). Emil Mătăsăreanu (Jeff Franco) arms himself with an Colt M4A1 after his AKS-47 jams and stops working in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05).
Colt M723
Captain John Laverty (Jannes Eiselen) carries a Colt Model 723 during the rescue of the Royal Irish Regiment soldiers in "SAS Mission: Impossible" (S3E01).
Colt M733
Several US Army soldiers are armed with Colt Model 733 rifles during the search for Saddam Hussein in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). Prince Dipendra (Ashish Kapoor) carries a Colt M733 to murder his family in "A Royal Massacre" (S3E03). Like (almost) all the weapons seen in the episode, the M733 is a mock-up or prop.
Enfield L85A1
Some soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment are armed with their service rifles Enfield L85A1 at the beginning of "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01).
FAMAS F1
One of the Royal Irish Regiment soldiers stands out from the rest for carrying a FAMAS F1 as a service weapon in "SAS Mission: Impossible" (S3E01).
FN FAL
Some members of the West Side Boys group are armed with FN FAL instead of the more common AK-47 in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01).
Heckler & Koch G3
Emil Mătăsăreanu (Jeff Franco) briefly arms himself with a Heckler & Koch G3 which ends up damaged by bullets from California police officers in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05).
Kel-Tec SUB-2000
Eric Harris (Ben Johnson) uses a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 as one of the firearms he uses in the Columbine High School shooting in "Massacre at Columbine High" (S1E03). This is a notable error, since in real life Eric Harris used a Hi-Point Carbine to commit the Columbine massacre plus the Kel-Tec SUB-2000 did not come out until 2 years after the massacre.
Lee-Enfield Rifle (Mock-up)
In several scenes, Prince Dipendra (Ashish Kapoor) is seen using a mock-up gun based on a Lee-Enfield rifle in "A Royal Massacre" (S3E03).
Remington Model 700PSS
In one of the alternative versions of Pablo Escobar's death, shows that an infiltrated US Delta Force sniper shot him in the head with a Remington 700PSS in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). Snipers of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) use Remington 700PSS against terrorists of the Islamic Armed Group (GIA) in "Shoot-Out in Marseilles" (S3E06).
Launchers
M79
One of the members of the West Side Boys is briefly seen wielding a M79 grenade launcher when soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment are cornered by the armed group in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01).
RPG-7
When a group of members of the West Side Boys chase soldiers from the Royal Irish Regiment, one of them is seen pointing an RPG-7 at the soldiers in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01).
Machine Guns
Browning M2
When the US military arrives at Saddam Hussein's supposed hideout, one of the military trucks has a Browning M2 machine gun mounted on the vehicle. A Browning M2 is seen mounted on one of the military vehicles of the Royal Irish Regiment soldiers in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01)
FN M240
One of the Royal Irish Regiment soldiers is armed with an M240, which is later stolen from him by the West Side Boys in "SAS Mission Impossible" (S3E01). Later, the West Side Boys use the M240 against soldiers of the British Royal Army.
Shotguns
Franchi SPAS-12 (Mock-up)
Prince Dipendra (Ashish Kapoor) uses a Franchi SPAS-12 to murder his family in "A Royal Massacre" (S3E03). Like (almost) all the weapons seen in the episode, the SPAS-12 is a mock-up or prop, it is easy to notice when seeing that several parts are poorly replicated.
Mossberg 590
Eric Harris (Ben Johnson) uses a Mossberg 590 Cruiser as his shotgun in the Columbine High School shooting in "Massacre at Columbine High" (S1E03). This is another error in the episode, as the shotgun Eric Harris used in the shooting was a sawed-off Stevens Model 67.
Stevens 311R
In "Massacre at Columbine High" (S1E03), Dylan Klebold (Josh Young) uses a Stevens 311R shotgun during the Columbine High School shooting. Unlike the other weapons used throughout much of the episode, the Stevens 311R is a true-to-life weapon, as Dylan Klebold used the same sawed-off shotgun.
Remington Model 870
What appears to be a sawed-off Remington Model 870 shotgun with a two-tone finish is used by one of the police officers who invade Pablo Escobar Gaviria's hideout in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04). One of the US Army soldiers searching for Saddam Hussein in Iraq is armed with an Remingon Model 870 "Entry Gun" in "Capturing Saddam" (S2E05). A few California police officers are seen carrying a Remington Model 870 during the North Hollywood bank robbery in "The North Hollywood Shootout" (S3E05).
Smith & Wesson 3000
One of the Colombian officers surrounding the building where Pablo Escobar was hiding carries a Smith & Wesson 3000 with a folding stock in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04).
Winchester Model 1300
One of the officers who stops Timothy McVeigh on the highway carries what appears to be a Winchester Model 1300 in "One of America's Own" (S2E02). Several agents carry the same Winchester Model 1300 with pistol grip during the assault on Pablo Escobar Gaviria's hideout in "The King of Cocaine/Killing the King of Cocaine" (S2E04).
Others
F-1 hand grenade
One of the members of the terrorist group MRTA carries what appears to be F-1 hand grenade on his guerrilla uniform in "Hostage Rescue in Lima" (S3E04).
Mk 2 hand Granade
One of the terrorists from the Islamic Armed Group (GIA) throws a Mk 2 hand grenade to try to confront the agents of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) in "Shooting in Marseille" (S3E06).
