:''Are you sure it's a P-12? The P-12 is a double-collumn magazine .45, meaning it has a very wide grip.  Roselyn Sanchez is not a very large person yet in the first two images from the movie her hand is seen wraping entirely around the grip, causing me to doubt that this weapon is  actually the thick-gripped P-12.

Rush Hour 2 is the 2001 sequel to 1998's Rush Hour and the second installment in the trilogy. In this film, Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) travel to Hong Kong and Las Vegas to track down a Triad leader. The film was Jackie Chan's most successful Hollywood live-action film at the box office up until his starring role in the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid. Rush Hour 3, the third installment in the trilogy, was released in 2007.

The following weapons were used in the film Rush Hour 2:

Smith & Wesson 5906

LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) carries a Smith & Wesson 5906 as his sidearm. He draws it when confronting Kenny (Don Cheadle).

Smith & Wesson 5906 - 9x19mm
James Carter (Chris Tucker) draws his S&W on Kenny.
Carter keeps his S&W drawed on Kenny (Don Cheadle) "gangster-style", not like a trained detective would in real life, but this seems intentional in that Carter is displaying his 'street cred' by walking and talking like a fellow 'gangsta'. This is the only time in the movie where he draws it, and never fires it.

Walther PPK/S

Triad member Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi) carries a stainless Walther PPK/S as her sidearm. Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) also uses one to intimidate Ricky Tan (John Lone) near the end of the film.

Stainless Walther PPK/S - .380 ACP
Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi) draws her PPK/S on Lee when Isabella (Roselyn Sanchez) steps in.
Ricky Tan (John Lone) looking down the barrel of Lee's PPK/S.
Lee keeps the PPK/S drawed on Ricky Tan.
Ricky Tan (John Lone) fires the PPK/S at Carter during the fight.

SIG-Sauer P232

In a continuity error, the Walther PPK/S becomes a SIG-Sauer P232 when Lee (Jackie Chan) discharges the pistol near Ricky Tan's head.

Stainless SIG-Sauer P232 - .380 ACP
Lee is distracted by Carter and fires the pistol when Ricky Tan grabs at him.

Colt Mustang

Undercover U.S. Secret Service Agent Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez) carries a Colt Mustang when confronting Carter and Lee. Hu Li later uses it to wound Isabella with the last round before it runs out of ammunition. Steven Reign (Alan King) also flashes this pistol in his waistband to intimidate Ricky Tan.

Colt Mustang - .380 ACP
Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez) points her Colt Mustang at Carter.
Isabella keeps her Colt Mustang drawed on Carter after he receives a kick from Hu Li.
Hu Li fires Isabella's own Colt Mustang at her.
Steven Reign shows Ricky Tan the Colt Mustang in his waistband.

Beretta PM12S

One of the Triad gangsters led by Hu Li carries a Beretta PM12S when Carter and Lee run outside of the office building.

Beretta PM12S - 9x19mm
A Triad gangster closest to the limousine carries a PM12S.

Norinco Type 56-1

Some of the Triad gangsters led by Hu Li outside the office building have Norinco Type 56-1 assault rifles.

Norinco Type 56-1 (under-folding stock variant) - 7.62x39mm
A Triad gangster points his Type 56-1 at Carter and Lee.
Three Triad gangsters surround Carter with their Type 56-1s.
