Brother 2 (Brat 2) is a 2000 cult Russian film directed by Aleksey Balabanov. It is the sequel to the groundbreaking 1997 post-Soviet crime film Brother (Brat). The story takes place about a year after the events of the first film. Having arrived in Moscow, Danila (Sergei Bodrov Jr.) learns from a friend from his army days, Konstantin, about a problem which has befallen his twin brother, Dmitri, a hockey player for the American NHL. Konstantin reveals that a dishonest American businessman named Mannis (Gary Houston) has ensnared Dmitri within an exploitative contract deal, which gives Mannis all of the money that Dmitri earns from playing hockey. Konstantin says that he will ask his boss, Belkin, who is the head of the bank, to talk with the American. Events spiral out of control, and Konstantin is killed. In accordance with his friend's last wishes, Danila journeys to the United States to save his brother.

Handmade Pistol
Danila's new girlfriend in Chicago, a prostitute named "Dasha", arranges a meeting for him with an illegal gun dealer. Since Danila knows that he has no money to pay for the guns, he decides to rob the gun dealer instead. Danila prepares for his meeting with the gun dealer by building a muzzle-loading, hand made pistol, which he improvises from materials that he finds on a construction site. The resulting weapon highly resembles a similar muzzle-loading black powder pistol manufactured by the Greek Cypriot militant group EOKA, which would later be made famous by the video game Rust. In the former Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russia, such firearms earned the slang nickname "podzhig" or "podzhiga" (ignition), and they were widely used by various petty criminals from the 1970s until the 2000s, and even later.

After Danila shoots the gun dealer in the face with his handmade pistol, he steals a M1911 from the gun dealer's driver.

One of the Chicago cops who arrests Viktor has what appears to be a Glock 17.
Cobray M11/9
Danila steals a Cobray M11/9 from the gun dealer. In search of Mannis, Danila comes to his club and hides the weapon in a toilet tank. After waiting for an opportunity, Danila takes the weapon from its hiding place, and then he shoots all of the security guards with it.
Browning Hi-Power
What appears to be a Browning Hi-Power is seen at the Metro Club.

The "Untouchable Tours" guide fires what appears to be a rubber prop molded off a blank-firing Bruni Olympic 6 while dressed as a Prohibition-era gangster.

Danila's first gun in the movie is an MP 38. He gets it from the Fascist. Danila later uses the submachine gun fitted with a sound suppressor to fire upon the gangsters looking out for him at the entrance of Irina's house.

It is hard to notice, but at the very beginning of the movie, a security guard at the Ostankino TV center is seen carrying a Kedr PP-91 with its stock folded. Only the front is seen.

Expressing admiration, Viktor says a few words about it. Subsequently, Viktor suggests to take the machine gun with them. During the pursuit, Viktor engages the pursuer's car with the weapon.

Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Danila acquires Model 24 Stielhandgranates from the Fascist who warns that they have a 50/50 chance of misfiring. Danila throws a grenade at the gangsters at the entrance of Irina's house, but it misfires. After the car chase, he uses a grenade to dispose of the car (this time it detonates).
