Series: Bodycam
Platforms: PC
Genre: First-Person Shooter

Bodycam is a Hyper realistic shooter that was made by a team of a 17 year old and a 20 year old. The game tries to emulate body cam footage using the Unreal Engine 5's new assets. The game has 3 game modes Death match, Team Death Match and Body Bomb which is kind of like Counter-Strike's defuse game mode. The game has Friendly Fire and blurred faces to get that realistic feel as well as a HUD that replicates an Axon Body camera's GUI. The game is currently in Early Access.

By default all weapons are fitted with Streamlight TLR-2 weapon lights (with the markings "FLL-1 HL8 FLASHLIGHT"), although most are not even mounted on rails and instead fused with some section of the gun, or in the case of most pistols mounted too high and clipping into the area where the recoil rod and spring are. During matches weapons have a chance of spawning with several different optics, athough again they aren't actually mounted on anything and instead usually fused with the rear sights or dust covers of weapons. For pistols the optic appears to be based on the Burris FastFire 3, for every other weapon it appears to cycle between what appears to be a squished/cut in half magnifier, the EOTECH HWS and the EOTECH EXPS. Unfortunately many of the weapons have their selectors modeled as set to safe, and the selectors cannot be toggled to different fire modes. In addition all weapons only use one magazine model per gun, meaning weapons can lock empty with bullets visibly in the chamber. Pistol are all innacuratly depicted with their hammers up at all times, and their slides simply ride forward when reloading from empty after Inserting new magazines (although the character appears to vaguely move their thumb near the slide stop for all reloads).

The following weapons appear in the video game Bodycam:

Handguns

M1911A1

The M1911A1 is a handgun with a 7 round magazine capacity. The marking are pretty faithful to actual WWII era Colt pistols, including the horse, however the company name has been changed to "Volts's Automatic" and country of manufacturer as Pakistan.

View of loading a M1911A1 with FX removed and a RDS and light fused to it.

Glock 17

A Generation 4 Glock 17 with FDE frame appears. It is a handgun with a more modern capacity magazine and is pretty good for close quarter combat with its 17 + 1 capacity. The markings refer to it as "Mock 17 Gen 2" and "Made in China".

Glock 34

The Glock 34 is labeled as the "Kobra". It has a custom slide that resembles the ones Agency Arms make for Glock pistols, and is fitted with a fictionalized Hogue/CT laser grip. It is identical to the Glock 17 with its performance and magazine capacity.

Desert Eagle Mark XIX

The Desert Eagle is a bit of an odd choice for a realistic shooter but nevertheless it's a useful handgun in the game. it has the most recoil out of all of the handguns in the game. The markings refer to it as "Forest Eagle Pistol" and "Made in Pakistan".

Submachine Guns

Mini Uzi

In Bodycam the Mini Uzi is a full auto submachine gun that has a fire rate around 600 RPM similar to a normal Uzi.

IMI Mini Uzi - 9x19mm

UMP45

The UMP45 has a 25 round magazine capacity and is effective at Close Quarters.

Heckler & Koch UMP45 - .45 ACP

Shotguns

Remington 870

The Remington 870 is currently the only shotgun in the game and is really effective in close quarters.

Remington Model 870 Police Magnum with early style black synthetic riot foregrips and buttstock - 12 gauge

Assault rifles / Battle Rifles

M4A1

The M4A1 is a 5.56x45mm NATO assault rifle that shoots arround 700-950 rounds per minute in fully automatic and is loaded with 20-round STANAG magazines. It is also kitted with a Knight's Armament RAS handguard with four KAC 11 Rib Rail Cover Panels. The bolt release does not protrude when empty.

Colt M4A1 with 6 position collapsible stock - 5.56x45mm NATO

AKM

The AKM is a 7.62x39 assault rifle that fires slightly slower then the M4A1 at about 600 rounds per minute and it also has heavier felt recoil than the M4A1. As the selector is set to safe, the bolt can be seen clipping into the tip of the selector.

AKM - 7.62x39mm

FN FAL

The FN FAL appears with an older style stock and fires exclusively in semi-auto.

FN FAL, older variant with humped stock and ramp rear sight - 7.62x51mm

FN SCAR 17S

The SCAR-HS (as indicated by the muzzle device and real (!) markings) appears in the game as a full auto battle rifle. It is a 7.62x51mm NATO and has a 20 round magazine but makes up for it with its better damage. For some reason the flip sights are both down. The bolt release does not protrude when empty.

FNH USA SCAR 17S - 7.62x51mm NATO

Rifles / Sniper Rifles

SVD Dragunov

The SVD Dragunov is currently the only sniper rifle in the game and it's super effective with its 10 round capacity magazine. The bolt doesn't lock back on empty.

SVD Dragunov - 7.62x54mm R

Grenades and Explosives

M67 Hand Grenade

The M67 Hand Grenade is the standard hand grenade. It appears to be modeled after a training one, as indicated by the text on it and the seam line (similar to the one on the TAG-67). The pin isn't pulled out when the character pulls it, but the spoon does fly off after it is thrown.
