Delta Force: Xtreme is a remake of the first game of the Delta Force series of games by NovaLogic with 3 out of the 5 campaigns present in that game.
Xtreme has some big differences compared to the original, the player now has the abiltiy to drive vehicles (Black Hawk Down had drivable vehicles but only in multiplayer, in the campaign the player was only ever allowed to get in as a passenger or gunner) and every mission has infinite respawning as if it's multiplayer. (The player loses Experience Points when dying but all these do is function as score.)
A new mechanic in Xtreme is "Weapon Power-up" pick-ups, which allow the player to carry additional weapons/items, in the campaign, only full ammo, first aid, Satchel Charges and AT-4 Power-up boxes are used for the vast majority of the campaign howeverin the editor for custom missions there are power-up boxes for every player-usable firearm aside from the MK23.
All of the game's weapons are reused either from Delta Force: Black Hawk Down or Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising
Handguns
Heckler & Koch Mark 23
The Mark 23 from the Joint Operations Escalation expansion pack appears as the only handgun in the game. Why they didn't re-use more handguns (especially since the original Delta Force did give the player the choice of two handguns) is odd, this is the only Delta Force game with only one secondary weapon.
M1911A1
The M1911A1 appears as an normally unused NPC-only firearm but some NPCs in the mission editor use it.
Submachine Gun
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The MP5A3 appears with a suppressor as the silenced weapon of the game.
Assault Rifles
Colt M16A2
The M16A2 appears with an M203 always attached to it.
Colt M4A1
The M4A1 appears with a red dot sight and foregrip.
Norinco Type 56
The Norinco Type 56 appears being used by enemies.
Izhmash AK47
What the game claims is an AK47 appears in crates as a prop..
Sniper Rifles
Remington M24 Sniper Weapon System
The M24 Sniper Weapon System appears as one of the game's sniper rifles.
Barrett M82A1
The Barrett M82A1 appears as the alternative sniper rifle option.
Machine Guns
PKM
The PKM appears being used by enemy soldiers.
FN M249E2 SAW
The FN M249E2 Squad Automatic Weapon is the LMG usable by the player, the M249 is also the only non-AT4/Satchel Charge weapon pick-up in the campaign, appearing as a pick-up weapon in exactly one mission.
Browning M2HB
The Browning M2HB appears as the mounted turret of the game.
Explosives
Carl Gustav M2 Recoilless Rifle
An unusable Carl Gustav M2 Recoilless Rifle appears to appear as a prop in crates.
