The Last of the Finest is a 1990 crime drama directed by John Mackenzie (The Fourth Protocol,The Long Good Friday) and stars Brian Dennehy as Det. Frank Daly, the head of an LAPD narcotics unit, who finds himself having to go underground when his unit discovers a conspiracy involving drug dealers and rogue US government operatives. The cast included Joe Pantoliano, Jeff Fahey, and Bill Paxton.
