Mafia III is an open-world action-adventure video game, and a sequel to Mafia II. It is developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, and was released in October 2016 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Set in 1968 in the city of New Bordeaux (based heavily on New Orleans, Louisiana), the game follows Lincoln Clay, a United States Special Forces soldier returning home after completing his tour of duty in Vietnam. He finds his surrogate family indebted to the Italian mob, ruled by Sal Marcano, the undisputed king of the New Bordeaux underworld. Initially attempting to make right with the mob, Lincoln soon finds himself injured and left for dead, with the only family he's ever known murdered by Marcano. Lincoln swears vengeance, recruiting those also disaffected and disillusioned with Marcano's crime family, before embarking on a quest to take down the mob and take over the city.

The following weapons appear in the video game Mafia III:

Overview

Unlike Vito in Mafia II and his hammerspace inventory, the inventory system returns to a limited space inventory, with only one long gun and one smaller weapon able to be carried at a time, like the first Mafia game. This inventory system returns in the subsequent game, Mafia: Definitive Edition.

Ammo has also been simplified as while a handful of weapons use their own ammo, most weapons now share ammo in certain internal "categories" such as all non-revolver handguns sharing ammo, revolvers having their own ammo type, all rifles (from the M1 Carbine to the SVT-40), and all submachine/assault rifles guns sharing ammo (the decision to have submachine guns and assault rifles share ammo being especially odd).

An odd choice for this installment is that the weaponry of the New Bordeaux Police Department will vanish upon the death or incapacitation of the officer, making this the only entry where police weapons vanish, presumably to discourage rampages.

Handguns

AMP Auto Mag Model 180

The AMP Auto Mag Model 180 appears as the "Clipper .44" and is rewarded by Thomas Burke for the third racket takeover. It is mildly anachronistic for the game's late 1960s setting, as AMT didn't begin producing Auto Mags until 1970. Oddly, the gun's icon in the UI is a Wildey Magnum.

Lincoln's Journal entry calls the weapon both cheap and claims it's common. This is incongruous with both its in-game depiction and the real-world weapon. In-game, if not obtained from Burke as a racket takeover favor, it is the most expensive semi-automatic pistol at a whopping $30,000 from the arms dealer. No NPCs are ever seen using the weapon, and it only spawns in a single static location, the Duvall Hall Science Center. In real life, the Auto Mag remained consistently expensive throughout its production runs and produced in small numbers. This, paired with its equally expensive and near-unobtainable proprietary ammunition, means it is rare to see in the hands of any law abiding gun owner and highly unsuitable as a weapon for common criminals.

Lincoln takes his shiny new Auto Mag out for a spin for one of Vito's side missions.
Before aiming it out into the bayou at passing gators.
Before dropping a mag.
Inserting a new one.
And racking the slide.
Lincoln threatens his Auto Mag with his Grease Gun.

Browning Hi-Power

The Browning Hi-Power is available for use in the game as the "Elling 9mm" and used heavily by mobsters in Tickfaw Harbor, Downtown, and Barclay Mills.

Browning Hi-Power - 9x19mm
Lincoln glowers at the screen and gives us a close look at his Hi-Power.
Lincoln aims the Hi-Power at a menacing crate.
Having given the crate a 9mm penny for its thoughts, he reloads by dropping the mag.
Inserting a new one.
And racking the slide letting us see the barrel.
While wandering some dock yards, Lincoln stumbles on a Hi-Power all alone.

Colt M1911A1

The Colt M1911A1 is one of many available handguns in Mafia III, known as the "Masterson Semi-Auto" (sometimes referred to as "Masterson Pistol"). There are two silenced variants in-game, the first being the "Silenced Masterson" which is given as a favor from Vito Scaletta during his first racket takeover. The second is "Silentium", which is the same stat wise as the normal silenced M1911 but with fancy engraving that comes with the "Judge, Jury & Executioner" weapon pack DLC. It is commonly used by mobsters in early-game areas, and also extensively used by NPCs in cutscenes. It is also Lincoln's "default weapon", as he uses it in cutscenes regardless of what handgun the player may have equipped.

Colt M1911A1 - .45 ACP
Lincoln hides at a local dock union with his M1911.
Lincoln aims the Colt M1911A1, revealing that the hammer is down which would render the gun unable to fire. All of the in-game semi-auto handguns are rendered as DAO.
Lincoln reloads with a mag drop clipping through his hand.
A fresh mag.
Before racking the slide, revealing that despite the hammer issue, it has a fully rendered barrel. Most of the other semi-auto handguns have rendered barrels.
Lincoln has the Hi-Power finish off its ancestor M1911.

Colt M1911A1 with Suppressor

Lincoln gets sneaky with his suppressed M1911.
Before aiming at some dastardly brickwork.
Having threatened the masonry with quiet .45 ACP, he reloads by dropping the mag.
Inserting a new one.
And racking the slide.
While doing a side mission for Burke, Lincoln finds a discarded suppressed M1911.

Silentium

Lincoln aims the Silentium at Grecco, thanks for the Definitive Edition making all DLC free.
Having used the Silentium for its clearly intended purpose of shootouts in the middle of the street, Lincoln reloads it.
A Silentium on the ground.

Colt Python

Known as the "Masterson Phoenix", Lincoln Clay and late game mobsters make use of the Colt Python throughout the game. A special skinned copy is available for My2K users known as "Il Duca" (The Duke in Italian).

Colt Python with 8" barrel - .357 Magnum
Lincoln sneaks around with his Python
Lincoln aims the Python at passing cars.
Lincoln reloads the Python by dramatically going for the cylinder release.
Dumping spent rounds.
And filling it with a speedloader full of .357 Magnum.
Lincoln threatens his Python for suddenly becoming shiny.

Scoped Colt Python

The scoped Python is rewarded as a favor from Vito Scaletta during the third racket takeover.

Colt Python Silhouette with 8 inch barrel, including factory scope - .357 Magnum
Lincoln holds the scoped Python, now with a nickel finish.
Lincoln aims the scoped Python at some dastardly wood.
The scope view, reusing the same scope reticle as all the other scoped rifles in-game.
Lincoln reloads his Scoped Python in the same way as the other, dramatic flick.
Dumping spent cases.
And a fresh speedloader.
This time Lincoln questions his Python for actually being shiny.

Il Duca

Lincoln gets his bling on with "Il Duca", a gold-plated Python fitted with some fancy (presumably ivory) grips.
Lincoln reloads "Il Duca", the same as the other Python variants
"Il Duca" irreverently placed on the ground.

Diana 5G Air Pistol

An air pistol resembling a Diana 5G Air Pistol is found in-game as the "Dormer B128", used as a tranquilizer gun for Bounty Hunting missions added in the Stones Unturned DLC.

Diana 5G Air Pistol
Lincoln gets to sneaking in the least subtle outfit known to man, with his trusty Diana 5G to tag and bag anyone who sees him.
Lincoln aims the Dormer B128 at a menacing sidewalk.
Reloading the "Dormer" by cracking open the barrel...
And stuffing a dart in the pipe.
Lincoln threatens the Dormer, convincing it to talk falsely now.

High Standard HDM

The High Standard HDM is usable throughout the game as the "Silenced Deacon .22" after unlocking a turf for Thomas Burke. It has an integral suppressor, allowing for more stealthy gunplay. Due to its .22 LR chambering, it deals less damage than the suppressed M1911A1. Despite this, it has a rather excessive amount of visual recoil for a .22 caliber pistol, about as much as the .45 ACP "Masterson".

High Standard HDM with integrated silencer - .22 LR
Lincoln holds the HDM while doing some sneaky business.
Before threatening the road with it.
Having terrified the asphalt, he drops his mag.
Inserts a new one.
And racks the slide.
Before executing it for knowing too much.

MAB PAP F1

The MAB PAP F1 appears as the "Blackburn FAF-33" as the highest tier semi-auto handgun, commonly used by mobsters in the late game areas of the French Ward, Frisco Fields, and Southdowns. One is found near the M60 at the Federal Bank during the prologue.

Oddly despite being a 9mm pistol, it is equal to the Clipper .44 in damage.

MAB PAP F1 - 9x19mm
Lincoln sneaks into his old bar with his F1, nicely modeled for a rare pistol.
Lincoln aims the MAB PAP F1 in the same vague direction of a dead man.
Not letting the dead get to him, Lincoln drops the mag.
Inserts a new one.
Lincoln reloads the MAB PAP F1, revealing that some dastardly mobster has stolen his barrel and his hands keep clipping into the gun.
Lincoln looks down on the F1 while on a dock.

Smith & Wesson 39

The Smith & Wesson 39 is known in-game as the "Alfredsson M419". It's given free when the arms dealer van becomes available and very commonly used by enemy mobsters in areas such as Delray Hollow, Pointe Verdun, and River Row, and by the Federal Bank guards in the prologue.

Smith & Wesson 39 - 9x19mm
Lincoln clears a dock used for Cassandra's side missions with his Model 39.
Before aiming it at some distant gators.
Having proven himself safe from alligators, he reloads by dropping the mag.
Grabbing a new one.
And racking the slide.
Before looking down on it and it's weirdly shiny trigger and hammer.

Smith & Wesson Model 19

The Smith & Wesson Model 19 appears in-game as the "Alfredsson M200", the standard sidearm of New Bordeaux's Police Department and an uncommon sight with mobsters. The M200 does only 38% damage per shot, compared to the Phoenix's 47%, implying that the former is used with .38 and the latter with .357 Magnum.

It is also seen in a cutscene, held by Alma as she checks the cylinder.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 - .357 Magnum
Lincoln holds the Smith & Wesson Model 19, ignoring the fact that his HUD claims it's a Ruger Blackhawk.
Not letting the pictures getting to him, he aims at a far away barrel.
He reloads it by popping the spent shells out.
Letting 'em rain.
Before stuffing it with a speed loader.
Lincoln looks down on a discarded Model 19.
Alma looks down the sights of her Model 19. Note the swung-out cylinder.

Shotguns

All shotguns, when hip-fired, play a pump racking sound after each shot, even including the lever-action 1887, break-action Lupara, and the semi-auto 1100.

Ithaca 37

The Ithaca 37 with a riot-length barrel and pistol grip appears in-game as the "Cornell 40", used by mid-game mobsters.

Ithaca Model 37 riot with pistol grip - 12 gauge
Lincoln prepares to breach the old bar with his Ithaca 37.
Lincoln aims the Ithaca 37, although it's best for close encounters.
Sending a shell down range and launching a shell magically from the side.
Not questioning how he broke the mechanics of the Ithaca 37 to do that, Lincoln just stuffs shells into the tube.
Before closing it.
Lincoln looks down on the Ithaca 37.

Mossberg 500

The Mossberg 500 with an extended magazine tube and synthetic furniture appears as "Riot 550" and used by late-game mobsters.

Mossberg 500 with high-capacity magazine tube - 12 gauge
Lincoln gets up close and personal with his 500.
Aiming his weirdly shiny boomstick, vaguely familiar to a 500 Mariner which would be anachronistic for the game's ~1968 setting.
Firing reveals, voila! A working bolt that moves when the pump is racked.
Having found his gun works, Lincoln tops his shotgun off.
Before closing the gun up for more work.
Lincoln uses his shotgun to interrogate another shotgun.

Remington 870

A "Barker 390" pump-action shotgun can be used and is commonly found with low level mobsters. It appears to be a Remington 870, and not the Mossberg 500AT some have claimed it to be, by the rounded trigger guard and the shorter magazine cap. It can also be seen inside the Arms Dealer's van.

Remington 870 Police Magnum Riot Shotgun - 12 gauge
Lincoln takes his newfound 870 out for a spin.
Lincoln aims the 870 at some dead mobsters.
Firing it reveals that the bolt and pumps do actually move.
Satisfied with sweeping some mafia goons away, Lincoln tops the gun off.
Before racking the pump.
Lincoln looks at a dropped 870, wondering why the gun is grey and blue at the same time.

Remington Model 1100

The Remington Model 1100 with synthetic furniture and pistol grip stock appears as the "Barker 1500 Tactical", given as a favor by Cassandra during the fifth racket takeover.

Remington Model 1100 - 12 gauge
Lincoln prepares to breach and clear with his new 1100.
Lincoln aims his 1100, marveling at its slightly too large charging handle that wouldn't actually allow the shotgun to properly cycle.
Reloading by stuffing a shell in the tube.
Stuffing another one in.
And underhand racking of the charging handle.
Lincoln stares at the dropped shotgun.

Sawed-off double barrel shotgun

The classic Lupara appears in-game as the "Lupara" as one of the two sidearm shotguns.

Remington Spartan sawed off shotgun - 12 gauge
Lincoln plays with his Lupara at the local dock union.
Before threatening the local pipes with it.
Having blown them away, he breaks the gun open and spits out two shells.
Before loading one.
And the other.
Lincoln aims down at a former mafioso owned Lupara.

"Barker 390 (Gator Skin)"

Supposedly a customized variant of the "Barker 390" (Remington 870) shotgun in the base game, the shotgun that comes with the Family Kickback Pack appears to be a mash-up of the in-game Remington 870 (receiver, magazine, and barrel) and Mossberg 500 (safety, trigger guard, and furniture). The result is vaguely reminiscent of the (anachronistic) Mossberg 590.

Mossberg 590 with five-round magazine tube and speedfeed stock - 12 gauge
Lincoln sneaks around with his Gator gat.
Aiming the Gator.
Lincoln uses his tactically camo'd bolt action to look upon the Gator, and see how it's more Mossberg than Remington.

Winchester Model 1887

A Winchester Model 1887 resembling the configuration from Terminator 2 is available for use in Mafia III, and a rare sight with mid game mafia goons as a sidearm shotgun. Lincoln can flip-cock the gun in a manner similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger albeit with one thumb given the smaller lever loop. It appears as the "Elmwood 1925" with a special version with the Judge, Jury & Executioner Weapon Pack, the "Exterminatore".

Sawed off Winchester Model 1887 (Norinco Replica) - 12 gauge
Lincoln prepares to fix the future in the past with his 1887.
Lincoln aims the 1887 at Vito's long suffering restaurant.
Reloading by inserting a shell while cradling the gun in the open lever.
Popping a few more in.
Before closing the gun with a flick of a thumb.
Lincoln looks down at the 1887, noticing the normal lever loop.

Exterminatore

Lincoln aims the "Exterminatore" at a burning car and unfortunate passengers properly Exterminatore'd.
Lincoln loads the "Exterminatore", much the same as the common version.
The "Exterminatore" on the ground.

Submachine Guns

Beretta M12

The Beretta M12 appears in the game as "Carter M33-A", rarely used by mid-game mafiosos.

Lincoln aims the M12 at a distant street car.
Having poked it from far away, the reload begins with a mag removal.
Mag insertion.
And a rack of the charging handle.
While sneaking around a racket, Lincoln eyes up a dropped M12.

Heckler & Koch MP54

The Heckler & Koch MP54 appears in-game, modeled on the very first MP5 prototype, the MP54. It appears in the game as "Deutsche M11B" and is acquired as a favor from Cassandra for the third racket takeover; it is used by enemies n the Signs Of The Times DLC. While the MP54 isn't necessarily anachronistic, it was first adopted by the German Federal Police in 1966, which is two years prior to the game's setting, it's more or less anachronistic to see in the hands of random street thugs in 1968. The HUD icon wrongly displays the gun with folded stock and different muzzle.

Lincoln holds his MP54, enjoying his new toy.
Before threatening the brick work.
Reloading begins by removing the mag.
Inserting a new one.
And grabbing the charging handle.
Lincoln uses his AK to question this space age German thing.

M1A1 Thompson

The M1A1 Thompson appears in-game as the "Trench 1938" and used heavily by early-game enemies. With the "Family Kick-back" pre-order pack, a special version of the M1A1 was included called the "Trench 1938 Drum" , having a vertical grip much like the earlier M1921 Thompsons with a drum magazine, but still built into the M1A1-style forestock. While this weapon is clearly meant to be a reference to the classic M1928 Thompson emblematic of the American Mob, the M1A1 Thompson cannot accept drum magazines in reality. It can also be seen inside the Arms Dealer's van. In the cutscene for the mission "Fish Need to Eat", Vito is seen using a M1A1, despite using an AKM in gameplay. Some M1A1s are also seen used by Hmong fighters in a stock footage scene.

The vertical grip for the 1938 Drum appears to have been a last-minute addition as the tie-in game Mafia III Rivals that reuses assets from the game as well as its icon depict it without one and early promotional material showed Lincoln not using the grip even when aiming the drum version (which is the only animation actually changed to account for the grip) as well as the Drum version actually having more recoil than the normal version (as well as an inexplicable damage increase).

M1A1 Thompson with 30-round magazine - .45 ACP

Lincoln aims down the road.
Before removing the mag.
Inserting a new one.
And yanking the charging handle.
While in the middle of a fight, Lincoln stares down at a dropped Thompson.
The two supposed Hmong fighters in the middle can be seen using M1A1 Thompsons.

M1A1 Thompson with a drum magazine

Lincoln holds the Thompson while hiding at the Dock Union, note the fact that the animations aren't changed for the grip.
Lincoln aims the Thompson, wondering how the drum fits at all.
Before dropping the drum.
Shoving a new one in, against all the mechanics of the Thompson's drum.
And yanking the bolt.
Lincoln uses his sidearm to put this poor mutated M1A1 out of its misery. Note that the foregrip is not the classic vertical foregrip often associated with the M1921 or M1928 Thompsons, but rather appears to be a separate wooden grip affixed to the factory standard horizontal grip. Although it may seem strange, there was field modification for the Thompson was undertaken irregularly by British and American troops, best known for the photo with Churchill [1]. Although the M1A1 is incapable of accepting drum magazines anyway.

M3 Grease Gun

The M3 "Grease Gun" appears as the "M1N8", used primarily by mobsters in the mid-game.

M3 "Grease Gun" - .45 ACP
Lincoln holds his Grease Gun while out in the Hollow.
Lincoln aims the Grease Gun, revealing that its dust cover is closed, technically rendering it unable to fire.
Lincoln reloads by removing the mag.
Inserting a new one.
And yanking the charging handle.
Lincoln threatens one Grease Gun with another.

OSS M3

The OSS M3 appears as the "Silenced M1N8", offered by Cassandra in the first racket takeover as a favor, or purchased from the Arms Dealer after the first sitdown.

OSS M3 with suppressor attached - .45 ACP
Lincoln takes his suppressed version for a whirl.
Lincoln aims the Grease Gun down the block.
Before doing the standard move of removing the mag.
Inserting the new one.
And racking the charging handle.
Lincoln looks down upon one Grease Gun with another.

MAC-10

The MAC-10 appears as the "Suppressed Mk 1020", given to Lincoln during the Faster, Baby! DLC and available to purchase from the Arms Dealer after finishing the final mission. It is slightly anachronistic since production only started in 1970.

MAC-10 submachine gun with Sionics Two-Stage Sound Suppressor - .45 ACP
Hearing the winds cry Mary, Lincoln ducks for cover with his MAC-10.
Lincoln aims the MAC-10, with one hand.
Reloading the MAC-10 by removing the empty mag...
Inserting a new one...
And locking the bolt back. Note it is actually modeled with an open bolt, which is a nice touch.
Having been fooled by the UI image, Lincoln aims at his MAC-10 to make sure it isn't a Cobray clone. Thankfully, it isn't. It's just weirdly big.

Uzi

The Uzi appears in the game as the "Binya", a late-game single handed SMG rarely wielded by mafiosos and in certain locations, like for example during the mission Guns. Is also used as the personal weapon of Tony Derazio.

Uzi - 9x19mm Parabellum
Lincoln holds his Uzi while running around an enemy racket.
Lincoln aims the Uzi at a dead mafioso.
Before reloading by yanking the old mag out.
Putting the new one in.
And opening the bolt, revealing the Uzi is rendered with a moving bolt despite appearing as closed bolt in-game.
Lincoln gazes upon a dropped Uzi.

Sa vz. 61 Skorpion

The Sa vz. 61 Skorpion appears in game as the "Czech Ver. Ba-65", rarely used by mobsters in the early game and one of the first sidearm SMGs available for use. The Skorpion isn't necessarily anachronistic for the 1968 setting (It entered mass production in 1963); but it is very unlikely that any reached the United States and were used by criminals. The HUD icon wrongly displays the gun with folded stock and different muzzle.

Sa. Vz.61 Skorpion - .32 ACP
Lincoln sneaks around a racket with his Skorpion.
Threatening the pipes with 20 rounds of .32 ACP.
After establishing dominance via .32, Lincoln reloads by removing the mag.
Stuffing a new one in.
And grabbing both charging handle nubs and giving them a yank.
While sneaking in a racket filled with enemies, Lincoln eyes up another Skorpion.
The violet icon of the mission .45 in My Hand is a vz. 61 Skorpion, despite the fact that the gun does not use .45 ammo. However must be said that .32 in My Hand doesn't sound particularly threatening or iconic.

Smith & Wesson 76

The Smith & Wesson 76 appears in the game as the "Alfredsson M833" available from the Arms Dealer as a slower ROF alternative to the Thompson. Lincoln's Journal notes it's very light and made of "some new kind of alloy". A rather odd statement, as the submachine gun was designed to be cheap to manufacture, and thus was made with common stamped steel rather than some space age alloy.

Smith & Wesson M76 - 9x19mm Parabellum

Before aiming down the street at a nearby car.
Before removing the magazine.
Inserting a new one.
And yanking the charging handle.
Lincoln uses his Ithaca to do the talking to the S&W.

Rifles

AKM

An AKM appears in-game as the "Pasadena AR30" and serves as the automatic weapon of choice for late game mafia goons. It's a mixture of both AKM and AK-47 parts, such as an AK-47 pistol grip, slab-side handguard and milled receiver but an AKM front sight post, gas block and ribbed receiver cover. In 1968, AKs were very rare in the United States, and there were no commercial AKs being imported (the only ones available might be AK-47 and Type 56 rifles brought back by soldiers who fought in Vietnam).

Is notably used by Vito Scaletta, Roman "The Butcher" Barbieri and Alvarez, the latter probably bringing it from his homeland.

A version painted black with tribal markings appears as the "Black Sacrament", rewarded for completing the Sign of the Times DLC.

That doesn't stop him from reloading by removing the mag.
Racking a new one in.
And doing the underhand technique 50 years before it'd be popular.
Lincoln gazes upon the AKM, giving us a good view of its weird kit bashing.
A close view of the Butcher's AKM. In the previous scene, he tried to shoot Lincoln, albeit failing, which ins't surprising considering the safety is on.

Colt M16A1

The Colt M16A1 appears in-game as the "Stromer .223" as a favor from Burke during the fifth racket takeover or in a CIA safehouse in the Stones Unturned DLC. It is equipped with a 30-round magazine which is somewhat anachronistic for the 1968 setting (the 30 round magazine was introduced toward the end of that year; but 20 round magazines were much more common at this time). Burke is seen with an M16 in one of the endings (Despite dialog saying he used an M60.). A pair of crossed M16s is also the icon for the creatively named mission Guns. It is also seen in the hands of US soldiers in some stock footage about the Vietnam War.

Before inserting a new one and presumably hitting the bolt release.
The M16s can be seen as the icon of this aptly-named mission, which resembles the logo of a certain website dedicated to cataloging guns that appears in the various visual media.
The M16s can be seen in the hands of some of the soldiers.

M1 Carbine

The M1 Carbine appears as the "Hartmann .30" and is commonly used by mafia goons in the early game. It appears without a bayonet lug, common on early civilian pattern guns such as Universal Firearms carbines. A heavily embellished version comes with the Judge, Jury & Executioner Weapon Pack, known as the "Praecisione .30". Lincoln's Journal refers to it as "an antique", a rather odd statement considering that by 1968, the M1 Carbine design was only about 26 years old and still widely used around the world.

One also appears in the hands of a Hmong fighter in stock footage.

It is also mentioned by the in-game note in the Bayou Firing Range.

Putting a new one in.
And yanking the charging handle in an overhand technique.
Lincoln interrogates an M1 Carbine, letting us get a good look.
One of the two Hmong fighters on the far left can be seen with an M1 Carbine.

Praecisione .30

Rounding out the trio of blinged-out firearms included in the weapon pack, Lincoln aims the "Praecisione .30" in a less gaudy warehouse.
As with the other weapons, the "Praecisione .30" shares the reload animation of the stock version.
Lincoln examines his "Praecisione .30" on the ground. Promotional images of the weapon show it with a whiter lower handguard, which appears more tan in-game.

M1 Garand

A M1 Garand appears in-game as the "Mayweather .30" and commonly found on mid-game NPCs. Oddly, the weapon's description claims it replaced the in-game M1 Carbine analogue, rather than having both serve side by side like in real life. It can be reloaded without using the full clip. Some Garands are also seen used by US Army soldiers in stock footage during a cutscene explaining Father James's backstory.

Lincoln aims the M1 at a heavily shot piece of wall.
Reloading the M1 by yanking the charging handle open in a slightly uncomfortable looking modern underhand move- not exactly a technique often seen when handling a Garand.
Grabbing a spent clip.
And stuffing it into the rifle to threaten his Kaiser Darrin (known as the De'Leo Kashmir in-game).
Lincoln uses his AK to interrogate the M1 about its magical disappearing sling.
M1 Garands are seen in the hands of soldiers. These are presumably Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) soldiers, who extensively used the M1 Garand throughout the Vietnam War. Behind the officers is a Piasecki H-21 utility helicopter.

M14

The M14 appears as the "Automat SG" and is used by late-game mobsters although it does spawn in a few early game locations. It's notable for being the only automatic rifle that uses the "Rifle" ammo type.

Despite not appearing in the game in any form, John Donovan mentions the XM21 semi-automatic variant by name in a mission dialogue.

After a job well done, he treats his M14 by taking the mag out with some good trigger discipline.
Inserting a new one.
And racking the bolt, without the underhand technique used on many of the other rifles.
After one too many crimes against passersby, Lincoln ditches his M14, letting us take a look at its magically disappearing sling.
The M14 can be seen in the hands of a soldier in the middle.

M14 with night vision sight

An M14 fitted with a AN/PVS2 Starlight scope appears as a sniper rifle, the "Hawk 4540 Night Vision" as a favor from Vito for the fifth racket takeover.

This version is semi-automatic only, has far better damage and accuracy but a slower reload.

Lincoln holds his sniper M14 after completing the favor.
Lincoln aims the M14 in normal iron sight mode.
Before switching to the sniper mode and remembering it's a night vision scope. This reticle is shared by all scoped weapons in-game.
Having just melted his retinas by peering down a night vision scope in the middle of a bright New Orleans afternoon, he decides that reloading is a good idea.

Before putting it in and giving the handle a yank.

Sniper Rifles

Springfield M1903A1

The Springfield M1903A1 appears in-game as the "Mayweather M04A3" and is commonly used by Racket Enforcers in the mid-game.

And with the scope, inaccurate for the M84 scope attached to the gun.
Despite that, Lincoln decides to feed it some fresh .30-06 by opening the bolt.
Feeding some rounds out of his pocket.
And closing it when he's done.

Tokarev SVT-40

A scoped Tokarev SVT-40 appears as the "Viper 55", used by late game Racket Enforcers.

It is notably used by Burke in the mission cutscene "Kill the Butcher", albeit becoming an M14 during gameplay and later becomes a Winchester Model 70 in the ending cutscene of the mission.

Having vanquished the foe with some 7.62x54mmR, Lincoln reloads by yanking the mag out. As with many games depicting the SVT-40, it is reloaded by swapping out magazines. While this is possible, the SVT-40 was typically in practice reloaded via Mosin Nagant stripper clips.

Winchester Model 70

The Winchester Model 70 appears in-game as the "Manitou Model 67" as the primary weapon of Racket Enforcers in the early game. A special version appears with camo wrapping with the Family Kickback DLC, fittingly named the "Camo Model 67".

Machine Guns

Browning M2 Heavy Barrel

The Browning M2 Heavy Barrel appears in the Stones Unturned DLC as part of mounted turrets found during the DLC's campaign. One can also be mounted to the Mohican Scout truck (based on the Kaiser Jeep M715). In the base game, they can be seen mounted on M3 Half Tracks in stock footage during a cutscene explaining Father James's backstory.

Browning M2HB - .50 BMG
Having survived a gun fight, Lincoln eyes up a mounted M2.
Ignoring Donovan, he "takes aim" with the turret.

M60

The M60 appears as the "Hartmann 7.62", first used during the prologue robbery on the Federal Reserve and finally as a favor from Vito's for the final racket takeover (though it can be used early during the "Stones Unturned" DLC). It can be refilled from dropped submachine guns or assault rifles. Despite being called "Hartmann 7.62" in-game, McGuire mention the gun by its real name in one of the endings. It can be also seen in some stock footage about the Vietnam War.

Grenades and Explosives

M67 hand grenade

The M67 hand grenade appears in-game as the "Frag Grenade", acquired with the first level of "IRA Bomber" perk and frequently dropped by mid- to late-game NPCs. While not entirely inaccurate for the 1968 setting (being introduced that year); it would have been relatively rare (The earlier Mk 2 and M26 grenades would have been more common).

C4

C4 charges appear in-game when Lincoln rigs up certain objects in enemy rackets to blow. Actual charges can be acquired after acquiring the second level of the "IRA Bomber" perk.

Lincoln points his F1 at a C4 block rigged on some filing cabinets.

Dynamite

Dynamite appears in certain black market shipments found in rackets in-game.

The mine facing down, this doesn't stop the mine detonating when someone walks or a vehicle drives over it. In fact, due to the physics engine, it's very likely mines Lincoln throws will end up face down.

Launchers

China Lake Launcher

The China Lake Launcher appears as the "GL KORSKY", added with the Stones Unturned DLC.

Having opted to remove his car from existence, Lincoln sends a 40mm its way and racks the action.
Before stuffing another round into the tube.
With his mode of transportation deleted, he takes the time to look at the rather shiny model of the China Lake.

M72A1 LAW

The M72 LAW appears as the "Hartmann AT-40" as Cassandra's final favor for the last racket in the game, although it does appear in the Royal Hotel before that.

Colt Commander

Donovan uses what appears to be a Colt Commander with a suppressor in the main game's final cutscene. This pistol is, like the Tokarev, not player-usable.

Colt Combat Commander - .45 ACP
Donovan hold a suppressed gun, which would seems useless since he is literally in the center of attention, but at least it will protect his hearing.

Tokarev TT-33

Connor Aldridge uses a pre-1947 Tokarev TT-33 with an aftermarket and anachronistic muzzle brake in the Stones Unturned DLC as his sidearm of choice. The pistol is unusable by the player.
