Journey's End (1988)

Journey's End is a 1988 British television film directed by Michael Simpson for the BBC which is the second filming of R. C. Sherriff's novel of the same name, the first was the 1930 feature film starring Colin Clive in the role of Capt. Denis Stanhope. In March 1918, towards the end of the First World War, in the trenches of the Aisne, a small group of soldiers await death under enemy bombardment. Eighteen-year-old Second Lieutenant Raleigh joins the men led by his childhood friend, Captain Stanhope. But Captain Stanhope is seriously weakened by the war.

Webley Mk. VI
Several characters in the movie use Webley Mk VI revolvers including Capt. Denis Stanhope (Jeremy Northam) who threatened 2nd Lt. Hibbert (Gary Caby) with it.
Rifles
Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk. III*
British soldiers use Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* rifles. 2nd Lt. Hibbert (Gary Caby) gives 2nd Lt. Raleigh (Mark Payton) one during the changing of the guard. Mason Dorian Healy is also seen with the rifle at the end of the movie.
Machine Guns
Vickers Mk. I
The Vickers is used by British soldiers. At the end Capt. Stanhope (Jeremy Northam) fires also this MG.
Maxim MG 08/15
When the squad of Capt. Stanhope (Jeremy Northam) is in No Man's Land, a Maxim MG08/15 is seen fired by German soldiers. It is identifiable by the type of the water jacket.
Other
Mills Bomb
British soldiers including 2nd Lt. Raleigh (Mark Payton) use Mills Bombs in the movie.
2-inch Medium Mortar
A 2-inch Medium Mortar is used to shoot smoke grenades into No Man's Land.
