|
The Good Soldier Schweik (Dobrý voják Švejk) is a 1957 Czechoslovak comedy movie, a screen adaptation of the famous Czech novel by Jaroslav Hašek, directed by Karel Steklý and starring Rudolf Hrusínský. The movie is based on the first part of Hašek's book; second, third and fourth parts are adapted into I Dutifully Report (Poslušne hlásím), released in 1958.
The following weapons were used in the film The Good Soldier Schweik (Dobrý voják Švejk):
Revolvers
Rast-Gasser M1898
The opening scene depicts the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo. Gavrilo Princip (uncredited) is shown firing a Rast-Gasser M1898 revolver (in reality he used an FN Model 1910).
Pistols
Unidentified pistol
Several policemen carry compact pistols in holsters. Only small parts of grips can be seen.
Flintlock Pistol
A pair of Flintlock Pistols are used as a decoration in Oberleutnant Lukáš' apartments.
Rifles
Mannlicher M1895 Carbine
Two soldiers (the tall one - Josef Kemr, the short one - Josef Sidlichovský), convoying Švejk from prison to Chaplain Katz' apartments, carry Mannlicher M1895 carbines. The front sights are fitted with protectors that is a sign of 1930 Austrian or Czech modification.
