The Good Soldier Schweik (Dobrý voják Švejk) is a 1957 Czechoslovak comedy movie, a screen adaptation of the famous Czech novel by Jaroslav Hašek, directed by Karel Steklý and starring Rudolf Hrusínský. The movie is based on the first part of Hašek's book; second, third and fourth parts are adapted into I Dutifully Report (Poslušne hlásím), released in 1958.

Revolvers

Rast-Gasser M1898

The opening scene depicts the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo. Gavrilo Princip (uncredited) is shown firing a Rast-Gasser M1898 revolver (in reality he used an FN Model 1910).

Mannlicher M1895 Carbine

Two soldiers (the tall one - Josef Kemr, the short one - Josef Sidlichovský), convoying Švejk from prison to Chaplain Katz' apartments, carry Mannlicher M1895 carbines. The front sights are fitted with protectors that is a sign of 1930 Austrian or Czech modification.
