• It is fun. I just saw it at the cinema tonight; it was well cast and had a few laughs (but then again I was the only one in the cinema laughing during 'The American'). Well considering that it isn't OUT YET on DVD in the U.S. and we can't screencap it (the screencaps are from the trailer), please feel free to update the info on the page yourself since you've actually seen the movie. MP5 selector

So they have a continuity error when they use an insert shot of Victor flicking off the safety on his MP5, it's hardly new. But, I did notice that the burst and full auto options are partially obscured. You can clearly see them, yet it looks like they've been painted over. Does H&K cut corners on their semi-auto MP5s this way? --Funkychinaman (talk) 05:21, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

Pretty sure it's just badly faded, which, combined with the lighting, makes it look painted over. I've seen some 4-position MP5 lowers where the paint was almost gone and you could barely see the selector markings. I'm guessing that at one point in production of Navy lower receivers, H&K used some type of paint that was crap, but I don't know the whole story. -MT2008 (talk) 11:28, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

No it isn't flipped, you can just make out the magazine release button which is on the right side of the magazine well hence making this correct. Also, FYI the Navy/burst trigger packs are ambidextrous, I guess he is just using the right side for better framing of the shot as the left side would be facing his body so harder to show being manipulated. Also, based on the fact that this is just an insert shot of otherwise SEF lowered MP5s, I would guess that it is an airsoft which might use crappier paint (I think I even remember seeing some that don't have paint in the engravings so would look like this). That being said, it does look like the burst marking has been scribbled over with a Sharpie or something. --commando552 (talk) 13:13, 26 May 2014 (EDT)
