Is practical competition shooting popular in East Asia? I wouldn't think countries that have such negative attitudes toward firearms would hold such competitions.

The Philippines is actually pretty gun-friendly by East Asian standards. Sorry, I thought that the HK in HKPSC stood for Honk Kong, which is absolutely not gun-friendly. -Anonymous

I think he just means that the youtube clip is from the Philippines. I haven't seen the film, but from the names of the cast and characters alone, it probably IS Hong Kong. --funkychinaman 06:14, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I don't know about Hong Kong, but I think Taiwan has laws that allow gun clubs/shooting ranges to use handguns for sport shooting provided the weapons remain at the club at all times under lock and key when not in use. -Anonymous

The unknown pistol appears to be a hi-power, it has the more modern hammer but there doesn't appear to be a visual casing extractor (im not sure what it's called) on the slide like on old HP slides and part of the slide (near the HP grooves at the end) seems to be bent...

Pretty certain that the "Laser pistol" is the same Strayer Voigt as further up the page, just with a laser bore sight in the chamber. Jimmoy 19:31, 23 December 2011 (CST)

Looking back at the page, I noticed we didn't ID the cops gun. We never see him draw it, but there's several scenes were we see the grip and him reaching for it at the end of the movie Excalibur01 20:25, 18 June 2012 (CDT)

S&W automatics

Anyone else think there are two different pistols here? The one on the table one doesn't have a frame step (although has the polymer grips that i have only seen on model 59/459/559/659s, are they compatible?):

As opposed to the one which is used by the thief which does have the frame step:

Laser Pistol

A 1911 racegun converted to shoot a laser beam. Miu (Alex Fong Chung-Sun), same character from Double Tap and Chong Tze-Wai (Daniel Wu) use this laser pistol during a simulation of the robbery.
