M16

I think that weird M16 with the somehow flattop but slickside upper is the exact same one that is used in Season 3 and Season 4 of Strike Back. My theory is that it is a standard M16 or SP1 upper that has had the carrying handle machined off and a rail bolted on in its place, as this appears to be how the armourer who provided this weapon (Hire Arms) has created some of their "M4A1s" by modifying standard A2 style uppers. --commando552 (talk) 07:23, 16 May 2014 (EDT)

Title

I think we may need to apply a common sense veto on the title and capitalize "SEAL". (Unless it's actually about trained seals.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:22, 16 May 2014 (EDT)

I've moved the title, but IMDB doesn't capitilize it either. --Ben41 (talk) 14:54, 16 May 2014 (EDT)
We had to apply the common sense veto to Navy SEALs as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:03, 16 May 2014 (EDT)

Patch

Is Tom Sizemore's character actually in the Air Force or is that ACC patch on the cover a massive goof? --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:14, 16 May 2014 (EDT)

He's Navy, but part of some joint task force as he is in charge of American drone pilots as well. --Ben41 (talk) 06:56, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

M203

What I found extremely weird is no one had a grenade launcher of any type, is there really a posibility to not have a grenadier on a team, since there were several points where it could be used. --Iceman (talk) 07:37, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

Actually, there is one SEAL member (forgot his name) who does armed with an M203 attached to his M4A1. Same as the page creator (Ben41), I'm also working on the film by taking images and looking directly at the weapons featured in it for proper information. The page is still not done, thus there are many other weapons not mentioned yet. --RaNgeR (talk) 08:36, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

Must have missed it, but why not use it on the technical? --Iceman (talk) 18:00, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

Are there any more pics of the M203, because from that one on the main page it looks a bit suspect. A real M203 has to have the loop at the front around the groove on the barrel, if it doesn't it would simply fall straight off of the gun. My guess is that either it is one of those inaccurate airsoft replicas which attaches to a railed handguard, or it is a launcher made by another company such as LMT. --commando552 (talk) 20:43, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

The PK style Machine Gun is Made in North Korea !

The PK Machine Gun is North Korea made !? Design of the stock is similar to RPD style. The Firearm Blog

North Korean PK style Belt Fed Machine Gun

--KINKI'boy (talk) 23:19, 27 July 2015 (JST)

The article states that when this weapon was found it was just the receiver with the barrel, stock and bipod added by Hire Arms during restoration. If you look at the original Type 82 you will see that the stock is totally different to the PK with a solid piece of wood attaching on to a sloping metal bracket. What Hire Arms did was to bodge a standard PKM style stock on to it to make it resemble a Russian weapon rather than the North Korean one. --commando552 (talk) 12:35, 27 July 2015 (EDT)

How the hell they get a gun from North Korea?--Dannyguns (talk) 09:23, 27 January 2017 (EST)

North Korea sells a lot of arms to countries in Africa and the Middle East, both legally and illegally, so I imagine that it was sold to an African country at some point. --commando552 (talk) 12:06, 27 January 2017 (EST)

M1919A4

If this movies was filmed in South Africa then the M1919A4 depicted here would be the MG4 which was a South African variant rechambered for 7.62 NATO much like the Canadian C1 models. --Charon68 (talk) 20:54, 27 July 2015 (EDT)

Not sure about that, the position of the links on the cases in the screencap suggests that they are .30-06 rather than 7.62x51mm rounds. I imagine that it is relatively easy to get hold of an M1919A4 anywhere in the world at this point. --commando552 (talk) 03:59, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
