Additional Images

CS/LS2 fitted with optical sight - 9x19mm
JS 9mm SMG Prototype 1 ("JS1") - 9x19mm. This image allegedly comes from a piece of Jianshe promotional material.
JS 9mm SMG Prototype 2 ("JS2") - 9x19mm. This model was first publicly shown in a 2005 Chinese police equipment expo. "JS2" is similar to the production CS/LS2, but has a right-handed selector switch and a right-side-only charging handle.

Discussion

I think it is wrong that there is a section for both the QCW-05 and QCQ-05. Both weapons are outwardly identical with the only difference being that the latter is rated to use both subsonic and supersonic ammunition whereas the first is only designed for the subsonic. The QCW-05 comes with a suppressor, but it is detachable and can be attached to the QCQ-05, so as far as I know there is no way that the two variants can be reliably told apart. --commando552 08:16, 21 January 2012 (CST)

Really, it just gets a different designation when the suppressor is attached, so I agree. Also, the "Jian She Type-05" is actually called the Jian She JS 9mm, with "JS 9mm", or really just "JS" being the proper designation. It's also not just a 9mm version as it's smaller in overall size; it's not the same firearm, but is based on the larger QCW-05. Also, it's a JS regardless of whether or not it's suppressed, like nearly every other gun out there. I figured all this out trying to figure out what the heck Battlefield 4's "JS2" was; it's a fictional future JS variant (hence the name) rechambered in 5.8mm and using 50 round mags (like the QCW-05) and firing from a closed bolt.
