It seems to me, or is it the MP40, according to his smooth shell? --Slon95 (talk) 09:33, 13 April 2016 (EDT)

You are right, thanks. Fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 10:22, 13 April 2016 (EDT)

Film

Do they have piles of old film stock in Russia, or is the look of the film achieved digitally? I certainly doesn't look like a film from 2009. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:59, 13 April 2016 (EDT)

I guess that this is an intentional digital effect to make the film resembling a wartime footage. Such effect appears also in several other war movies of 2000s. Not a successful idea, as for me. Greg-Z (talk) 12:37, 13 April 2016 (EDT)

M1 Carbine?

Is it just me, or does it look like there's an M1 Carbine in this movie? The rifle/carbine seems to have an exterior magazine and if you consider what looks like the bolt to be a recently ejected cartridge, then I might have a case. Stranger things have happened with guns in war movies..., PeeWee055 (talk) 13:25, 13 April 2016 (EDT)

I think that it's a standard 98k, and what seems to be a magazine is only an illusion due to bright flash. I'll make additional screenshots of this scene to be sure. Greg-Z (talk) 13:29, 13 April 2016 (EDT)
Here is a cropped, enlarged and more light fragment of a screenshot of this scene (several seconds before the suspicious screenshot). The rifle of this soldier can be seen. Greg-Z (talk) 13:38, 13 April 2016 (EDT)
