Some inside info
I have a source in the industry who took a look at this page recently and wanted me to add some information that he shared with me:
- The Ruger AC556 Bullpups used in this movie are the same ones that were originally built for the Lori Petty movie Tank Girl (which does not have a page on IMFDB as of this writing). They're fitted with different optics for this movie, but are otherwise the same guns - the custom vertical foregrip was a modification made to the weapons when they were used in Tank Girl.
- My source is also pretty sure that the M16s in this movie are not real ones, because he handled all NFA-regulated weapons during production, and the Rugers were the only NFA firearms that were under his supervision. He doesn't remember bringing any M16s to the set, which means they were probably replicas that were handled by the propmaster or one of his assistants.
