Is this intended as a "Shotgun Pistol" or is the one pictured just modified to fill that role? -Anonymous
- Assuming this is the Ithaca Auto Burglar (the one in the picture appears to be, but I've never heard it refered to as the Model A) it was a factory sawed-off inteded to be used as home / vehicular defense weapon. In fact there was a holster designed specifically to fit the steering column of a car for quick accessability - carjacking apparently being a growing problem in those days. - Nyles
Carjacking was a burgeoning problem in those days, particularly because hijacking/robbery of the commercial trucking industry became a facet of organized crime.--Ruzhyo 04:59, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
