I think this may be one of the few movies that doesn't show the PING that the M1 Garand does when ejecting the En-Bloc clip, maybe im wrong but iirc i didn't saw or heard any, movie is great nonetheless, happy it got a page.--Death Shadow20 (talk) 15:28, 17 December 2016 (EST)

With all the chaos happening in the combat scenes, I think not only us, but the veterans wouldn't be able to distinguish the pings from all the gun fire and explosions. Inceptor57 (talk) 15:52, 17 December 2016 (EST)
Hard to show the PING when nobody reloads. It's weird, I can't remember anyone actually doing that in the whole movie.--Mandolin (talk) 16:41, 17 December 2016 (EST)
I can't recall any WWII film prior to Saving Private Ryan depicting the ping. --Ben41 (talk) 16:46, 17 December 2016 (EST)
There were a couple of scenes when I heard the M1 Garand ping, but it was mixed in with the battle for the most part. I could only tell through headphones anyways. Also, I did see one split second scene of the clip ejecting. --Bosoxboy521 (talk) 15:53, 8 March 2017 (EST)

M1A1 Carbine/M3 Grease Gun

At a different angle, you can see Cpt. Glover's radioman using an M1A1 Carbine (you can tell by the way he's holding it and you can see the wire stock in the next shot). In the counter attack, it goes back to being a regular M1 Carbine. Also, Sgt. Howell's is the earlier M3 model of the Grease Gun, notable by the cocking hammer. --Bosoxboy521 (talk) 15:53, 8 March 2017 (EST)

Huh, good catch on both. I'll change it. Thanks. Crackshot (talk) 01:34, 13 March 2017 (EST)
