Yeow! Lots of NON-Japanese playing Japanese ;)

I know there are a FEW Japanese actors playing Japanese characters, but the screencaps show obviously CHINESE actors & extras playing Japanese soldiers. In fact these guys look like archetypal Chinese. To anyone that's even remotely familiar with the different Asian races, the guys they picked to play Japanese don't even come close. :) LOL! For example, actors like Dennis Choi, who appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger and War really LOOKS JAPANESE, at least to my eyes. :) (FYI, Choi is a surname to both Koreans and Chinese from the Hong Kong Area) MoviePropMaster2008 21:45, 9 January 2012 (CST)

Except for Jackson Liu and Billy Chow, who are Chinese by way of Taiwan and Calgary, respectively, all the other lead Japanese roles are played by Japanese actors. This would include Chen Zhen's Japanese girlfriend, her uncle, and the ambassador. (And yes, all of them look really Japanese.) If only it had been an actual joint Chinese-Japanese production. None of those people you listed seem to be in the screencaps. I'm only going by the screencaps. You can't tell me that the IJA soldiers shown look anything like Japanese. And those IJA uniforms! WTF? Japanese characters played by actual Japanese actors. Yasuaki Kurata as Fumio Funakochi and Shinobu Nakayama as Chen Zhen's girlfriend Mitsuko Yamada. Kurata is a veteran actor and martial artist while Nakayama is a former J-pop star.)
