Very low res photos

Obviously, but it's good for the time so anyone who visits the page can have a reference for what they are seeing (Some games drastically change the models of the guns, but it's still clear to some what they are based off of). FNP-45

Alphabetization or release?

I'd much prefer the alphabetized system, but some people would find it easier to find newly updated weapons with the release system. Should we do release-based for now and then alphabetize after the game enters the full-version, or use either version permanently? Ah, makes sense. They will probably add more content post-release but I guess that's a long way down the road and not a big concern for now. Patch 0.47.124641 New weapons added

The newest stable patch has added the following weapons:

Makarov - Identified in-game as the .380 Baikel IJ-70 version
CZ 527 - Renamed CR 527 and chambered in 7,62x39mm, currently does not seem compatible with other scope types (possibility of having its own attachments which have not been added).
AK-101 - Apparently compatible with some AKM attachments (stocks, forends, optics)
PM-73 RAK - Chambered in .380

Mosin 9130 Obrez - Separate Section

Should the new "Sawed-Off Mosin 9130" get it's own section? The Sawed-Off IZH-43 didn't, but sawed-off Mosin-Nagants are pretty commonly known as the Obrez (and this was added in separately to the Mosin 9130), so it may be worthwhile. New Info

There was talk somewhere on the forums of them changing the spawns so that PM-RAK will instead spawn at Police Stations while the MP5K will spawn at Crash Sites, makes it a little more believable for me at least since Police stations are the most likely place to find the .380 Auto ammo Draco122 (talk) 14:27, 10 December 2014 (EST)

They did have it on the experimental servers for a time where the MP5K and the PM-73 Spawn locations were swapped but it was removed after the release of the latest patch, although I do still remember that a bug resulted in MP5K attachments spawning at Police Stations. I still don't understand why the MP5K spawns in Police Stations more than the PM-73, it's not like the PM-73 is much of a Special Forces weapon compared to the MP5K. The way I see it, Western or High value guns (such as the M4, AUG, MP5K, FNX45 should always spawn at Western style Crash sites while the majority of the eastern guns spawn in Military Locations. Also more new information on a firearm the latest patch added in is the Steyr AUG as a High value crash site loot spawn. Despite its look as the A1 version with a fixed 1.5x Swarovski Optik scope, it's classification as a 5,56mm weapon in-game means its treated as taking the same STANAG magazines of the M4, so I'd say it's really a mix of the A1 and the A3 NATO (which is a right hand only AUG with a STANAG capable receiver) of which it can take its own AUG magazines or the erroneous 60 round "coupled" magazines of the M4, of which it maybe a bug or a placeholder. In addition, a model render depicts a variant not found in-game (although its possible these could be AUG only attachments in the future) of a H-BAR Variant featuring a longer barrel and bipod. Weapon Update

Figured I'd give this article an update on some guns that are or will be added in future patches.

Mauser C96 "Red9" with Buttstock attachment, correctly uses 9x19mm and can use it's own "9mm Stripper Clip", currently only available in Expirimental
IZH-18M Rifle, chambered in 7,62x39mm. Single Shot rifle, apparently can be converted to an Sawn off with the addition of a Hacksaw, cannot currently attach a scope.
Winchester Model 70, Alaskan variant was added however it is incorrectly chambered in .308 Winchester which the Alaskan model does not support. Currently only seems to accept a x8 Hunting Scope.
SVDm Dragunov, military version, found only at Eastern Helicopter Crash Sites, always spawns with a PSO-1 Scope and magazine correctly holds 10, 7,62x54mmR rounds.
VSS, currently only spawns in Expirimental, takes 9x39mm SP-6 rounds and carries a 10 round magazine. Can only be found at Eastern Crash Sites. Again also always spawns with (apparently) a VSS caliberated PSO1 Scope.
UMP45, spawns only at US Helicopter Crash Sites and can feature most of the sight attachments of the M4 and MP5K.
PMN-1 Land Mine, spawns mostly at Military Locations, does not detonate when a vehicle passes over it and appears to be proximity based to infantry only as it will explode when your 2 feet infront of it.
Desert Eagle, yes a Desert Eagle a Golden Plated one no less, found in game files and slated for a future patch release, will apparently be chambered in .357 Magnum and spawn in residential areas (at an extremely rare chance I hope).
VZ64 Skorpion, chambered in .380 Auto found in game files for the latest 0.58 patch on Expirimental. Is confirmed by Developers to be compatible with the Pistol Suppressor and use two types of magazine, 10 and 20 round magazines.
Dart Gun, an unknown type, possibly fictional, custom tranquillizer Dart Gun that was found in the 0.58 patch files on Expirimental. Will likely use the same Tranquillizer Dart ammunition released in a previous patch.

The C96 and VSS are in stable - DayZ's wiki is just very inconsistent with updated information. The Dart Gun is a Pneu-Dart X-2 (http://www.wildlifeanimalcapture.com/img/content/x2full.jpg) - a real, CO2 powered dart gun. The Vz.64 and Desert Eagle (Called "Golden Eagle") aren't available in-game yet so there's no sense listing them on the main page until they're implemented. --Sergeant Simpleton (talk) 13:17, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
