It looks like the pistol on Casino 1992-M1911-4 is a Star Model B. --Slon95 (talk) 16:10, 14 July 2021 (EDT)

You mean that the pistol lacks grip safety? Yes, possibly. My poor eyesight and old monitor deceive me, I just cannot say. Smith's 1911 is a standard 1911, while Perry's pistol may be a Star B. But I need to mention that no Star pistol is still seen in Mosfilm productions. --Greg-Z (talk) 16:33, 14 July 2021 (EDT)
There was, a long time ago, a story that they used them, for the same reasons as in Hollywood; but in most films it looked like they were just ordinary M1911A1, rechambered under 7.62. --Slon95 (talk) 17:04, 14 July 2021 (EDT)
Rechambering of 1911 for 7.62? Proof, please.--Greg-Z (talk) 01:29, 15 July 2021 (EDT)
Don't use marginal expressions here. We are not in some kind of 4chn or some other sump. The fact that they were adapted to 7.62 blanks has already been repeatedly mentioned in articles (see "Master Gun", № 07/08, 1996) and discussions. .45 blanks cannot even made a bolt self-recharge. --Slon95 (talk) 11:05, 15 July 2021 (EDT)
"Proof" is a regular English word, and I don't understand what problem you see with it (don't know what is "4chn" but looks like it's something very bad). If you prefer "confirmation" or "evidence", let it be. --Greg-Z (talk) 12:32, 15 July 2021 (EDT)

Note the grip plates that are not in Star style, more like original Colt 1911. Also, when later the girl fires this pistol, the muzzle flash is seen but the slide doesn't move. --Greg-Z (talk) 06:27, 15 July 2021 (EDT)

Star also had such grips, just not on this site. There is clearly no external safety, and the marking meets the Star. A similar pistol can be seen here (Tellingly, they are clearly marked Colt, so this is most likely Star with a Colt slide.). --Slon95 (talk) 15:23, 15 July 2021 (EDT)
