The M11/9

Doesn't the shot where he empties them into the ceiling actually reveal that they're stock original MAC-10's with the stocks removed? The receiver is half of the size of the Cobray and is probably a lot easier to get full-auto versions of. --PaperCake 02:47, 29 December 2017 (EST)

You are absolutely correct. In the 3rd/last picture posted (which shows the left sides of the pair), one simply has to follow the top edge of the lower receiver to the corner where the angled edge meets it. Then simply compare the distance between this corner of the receiver & the rear-most edge of the magazine well of an M11/9 to that of the M10. Another clue is usually the bolt-handle as the M11/9 generally has the flat type whereas the M10 used a taller, slotted bolt-handle which could be rotated 90° to lock the bolt open. But, it's nearly impossible to determine the manufacturer as several companies produced the M10 series. --RealEveryDay 10:38, 10 July 2018 (CDT)

The Glocks

I don't think that the Glocks carried by Will Smith and Joel Edgarton are 17s - in the slow motion scene where Smith shoots at his corrupt colleagues, we see a clear shot of a bottle-necked bullet casing spinning past his face. It's very likely CGI, rather than a real casing that came from the pistol, and I am by no means enough of an expert to identify such a casing on sight, but wouldn't this indicate the filmmaker's intent was to show the Glocks as chambered in .357 SIG? If the real, physical pistols that were carried on set were 9mm (and I agree they probably were), which do we go with? Assume that they're 17s based on what's more likely and list them as such, or take that shell casing into account and list them as 31s?

I'm not sure it's CGI, but I think that what you're seeing is actually a crimp-nosed blank case being ejected. There was a similar discussion here. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 16:19, 10 January 2018 (EST)

Regarding your question of how we would list the weapons, of course we would list them as Glock 17s on the page, if we were sure that’s what they were. We list guns by what the propmaster/armorer brought to the set, not what they’re intended to portray. This does not, of course, preclude the possibility that we would mention that the guns are meant to stand in for something else (i.e. Glock 17s standing in for Glock 22s in a TV show about FBI agents), but that info belongs in the description beneath the listing, not the listing itself. -MT2008 (talk) 21:23, 17 January 2018 (EST)
