Stan Lee (1923-2018) was an American comic book writer/producer who was the former president and chairman of Marvel comics. He was responsible for co-creating such iconic comic book superheroes as Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Captain America, and The X-Men. Over the past two decades, he was well known to movie audiences for his numerous cameos in various feature film adaptations of his characters.
