The Squeaker is a 1931 German crime movie which is based on the novel of the same name by Edgar Wallace. An anonymous hoodlum betrays criminals to Scotland Yard if they do not comply with his blackmailing demands. When the stranger does not even shy away from murder, he sets off a chain of chases: both the London underworld and vengeful colleagues as well as a mysterious young woman are hunting the Zinker.

The film is the fourth Edgar Wallace film with German participation and the fourth screen adaptation of the original novel, following the 1930 and 1937 British versions and the 1963 German version.
