The Salvation is a 2014 Danish co-production Western movie directed by Kristian Levring and starring Mads Mikkelsen as Jon Jensen, a former Danish soldier and veteran of the Second Schleswig War who emigrates to the United States together with his brother Peter (Mikael Persbrandt). Jon's wife and son are brutally killed by a pair of outlaws. Jon exacts revenge on the villains, but one of them turns out to be a brother of local land baron and gang chieftain Colonel Henry Delarue (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Delarue begins the hunt for Jon, forcing the residents of the town of Black Creek to cooperate.

Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model revolvers are widely used in the film, seen in hands of brothers Jon (Mads Mikkelsen) and Peter Jensen (Mikael Persbrandt), Col. Delarue's brother Paul (Michael Raymond-James), his accomplice Lester (Sean Cameron Michael), Delarue's chief henchman Corsican (Eric Cantona), bandits Tracker (David James) and "Man With Beard" (Langley Kirkwood).
Colt Single Action Army 7 1/2" Cavalry model - .45 Long Colt
In the scene in the stagecoach, Lester holds Jon at gunpoint.

"Artillery" Model

Douglas Henshall) carries a Denix replica, most likely the same "Artillery" revolver.
Madelaine (
Eva Green) carries an "Artillery" (or maybe even a "Civilian") model in a holster in a promotional image. The grips match a Denix replica.
"Cavalry" Model

Remington 1875
Paul Delarue (Michael Raymond-James) carries a Remington 1875 revolver. Jon Jensen (Mads Mikkelsen) takes a Remington 1875 from Borowski's store and uses it in the climactic scene.

Archvillain of the movie, Henry Delarue (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), carries a nickel plated Remington 1858 New Army revolver.
