The PMN (Protivopekhotnaya mina nazhimnaya - pressure anti-personnel mine) is a series of Soviet blast anti-personnel mines, including the PMN (later renamed PMN-1), PMN-2, PMN-3, PMN-4, and MS-3 (a boobytrap device, based on the PMN). The first version was put into service in 1950. For its high lethality, the PMN is known in the West under the nickname "Black Widow". Besides the USSR, the PMN and its clones were produced in China (as the Type 58), Hungary (GYATA-64), Myanmar (MM2), and Bulgaria (PM-79).
