Megan Leavey (2017)
Megan Leavey is the 2017 war drama starring Kate Mara as the title character, a US Marine corporal serving with her military dog Rex in Explosive Ordnance Disposal when they are subsequently wounded from an IED during a mission. She then must work through the system in order to adopt Rex after he is taken away from his duties due to his injuries. The film was directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and was based on a true story.

AR-15A2 Sporter II
One of the Marines is seen with a Colt AR-15A2 Sporter II, likely standing in for the M16A2. It is seen with an aftermarket R.I.S. handguard and an ACOG sight mounted on a carry handle rail.
During boot camp, Megan appears to carry an M16A4 rifle while training in a pool.
The M4A1 Carbine is used by Special Ops, Megan Leavey (Kate Mara), and other Marines. The one used by Leavey is fitted with a railed gas block and fixed rail-mounted front sight.
Insurgents who engage the Marines are armed with several AKM variants.
M240 GPMGs are mounted on US Marine Humvees in the film.
In some scenes, the machine gun mounted on the Marine humvees is an FN MAG 58 instead of an M240B.
The Beretta 92FS, standing in for the U.S. Military issued M9, seen mainly holstered on belts. Megan is seen loading and carrying the Beretta before a mission.
Some Marines incorrectly carry the SIG-Sauer P226 as their sidearm.
M203 Grenade Launcher
The M203 grenade launcher is seen mounted on M4A1 carbines.
The RPG-7 launcher is used by insurgents.
One of the female drill instructors training Megan at boot camp is portrayed by the real Megan Leavey.
