The following weapons were used in the film Kekexili: Mountain Patrol (2004):

Norinco Type 54 Pistol

Ri Tai holds the Norinco Type 54 Pistol, the Chinese clone of the Russian Tokarev TT-33 pistol of World War II fame.

Norinco Type 56 assault rifle

The milled receiver Chinese variant of the AK-47, the Norinco Type 56 is seen throughout the film often carried by the character Ri Tai. His weapon has an underfolding steel stock. One other Type 56-1 is seen with the Mountain Patrol itself - a fixed stock weapon that appears to have electrical tape wrapped around the pistol grip area. All of these Type 56 weapons appear old and are probably made in the 1950's as they have milled receivers as opposed to being stamped as in weapons manufactured in China after 1960. The age of these weapons would seem accurate to the story as the Mountain Patrol was largely unfunded and probably scrounged for weapons of any age and condition.

M22 (Type 56) assault rifle - 7.62x39mm. Rather than having the under-folding pig-sticker Bayonet assembly, this has the standard Bayonet lug underneath the gas block as the AKM and later variants.

.22 Hunting rifle

Also appearing in the movie are what appear to be various .22 hunting rifles presumably seized from poachers, as well as an over under double barrel shotgun. The weapons are in keeping with similar weapons which have been manufactured in China over time, many of which are copies of other firearm designs.
