Commander Hamilton (1998)

Commander Hamilton (original title Hamilton) is a 1998 Swedish/Norwegian/Italian/Moroccan action movie directed by Harald Zwart (The Pink Panther 2) starring Peter Stormare in the titular role. The film incorporates the plot from two of Jan Guillou's Carl Hamilton novels, Ingen mans land and Den enda segern and was later recut as a 2001 TV miniseries with reshot scenes and an additional 58 minutes of footage. (This page covers the 128 minute theatrical cut.) Stormare is the fourth actor to portray Swedish secret agent Carl Hamilton, following Stellan Skarsgård, Peter Haber and Stefan Sauk, but this was his only turn. The series continued in 2012 with Hamilton: I nationens intresse with Mikael Persbrandt in the title role.
