The Third Wave (2003)

The Third Wave is a 2003 Swedish action film, starring Jakob Eklund as ex-police officer Johan Falk. Falk has left his job at the Gothenburg police, wanting to leave his former life behind. But when an old friend wants to meet him about a possible job in Europol, he gets entangled with European mobsters. Witnessing the execution of his friend, he ends up on the run with a woman the mobsters are after. Falk has to fight against organized crime to get justice, and more importantly, revenge.

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is the most frequently used firearm in the film. Hitman Dauphin (Sylvester Groth) uses one as his preferred sidearm in the film, and usually wields it suppressed. Dauphin's accomplice Rocca (Emmanuel Limal) also uses a Glock 17 during the restaurant scene in The Hague, but is disarmed of it by Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund). Rocca then takes Monteux's (Alain Azerot) Beretta 92FS and uses it for the remainder of the film. All of the men employed by EuroSec, including Devlin (Nicholas Farrell) and Stevens (John Benfield), carry Glock 17s as their sidearms. Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund) and Rebecca (Irina Björklund) also arm themselves with Glocks during the climax. Phoenix Kane (Ben Pullen) also briefly wields a Glock during the climax.

Beretta 92FS

One of the hitmen, Monteux (Alain Azerot) uses a Beretta 92FS as his sidearm in the film. He wields it during the restaurant scene in The Hague. After Monteux's demise, Rocca takes his Beretta and chases after Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund). The Beretta stays as Rocca's sidearm for the remainder of the film. He most notably wields it suppressed during the climax.

Continuity error

During the restaurant scene, after Monteux draws his Beretta, during the close-up it briefly changes into a Glock 17.

SIG-Sauer P225

Several German police officers are armed with SIG-Sauer P225 pistols during the EU riots in Dusseldorf. After the hitman Dauphin (Sylvester Groth) discards his empty Glock 17, he picks up a SIG from a police officer he kills.

To his horror the gun is loaded with rubber bullets. Note the "Eigentum der Polizei" (Police property) text on the dustcover of the SIG.

Continuity error

As Dauphin fires the SIG at Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund), the SIG briefly changes into a Glock 17 in an extreme close-up.

Unknown Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle

Rocca (Emmanuel Limal) uses a massive suppressed sniper rifle to fire at EuroSec officers and at Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund) and Rebecca (Irina Björklund) during the scene at the Rohmer hotel in Germany. Any help identifying this rifle would be appreciated.
