Civilization VI
|
Civilization VI is a global strategy game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games in 2016 for Microsoft Windows and macOS in October 2016. A port for Linux was released in February 2017. Aspyr Media released a version for iOS in December 2017. A version for the Nintendo Switch console was released in November 2018. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were served in November 2019. A version for Android was released in 2020. A standard version contained 18 playable civilizations. Six DLCs were released with additional civilizations and scenarios: Australia, Indonesia, Khmer, Macedon, Nubia, Persia, Poland, and the Vikings. A deluxe edition combined the standard version and the six DLCs. The game's first major expansion, Rise and Fall, was released in February 2018.
Like its predecessors, it is a turn-based strategy game supporting single-player and multiplayer modes. The aim is to lead your civilization's influence from a small tribe to control the world. The people develop their technology, culture, and government structure between ancient times and the near future. You can expand by founding cities. You will encounter barbarians who do not belong to any faction and the civilizations of other players and computer opponents. These can either be dealt with peacefully through diplomacy or by going to war against them militarily. The game offers several victory conditions. In the standard edition, the player can choose between nineteen civilizations and twenty leaders.
Though the cartoon graphics are not highly detailed, the weapons' general shapes and functions are represented well enough to identify them as specific firearms, maintaining the game’s accessible and clear visual style. The depiction of these weapons helps to convey the historical progression of military technology while staying true to the game's more simplified, iconic aesthetic.
The following weapons appear in the video game Civilization VI:
Overview
In Civilization VI, firearms are first introduced in the fourth era, the Renaissance, with the Gunpowder technology, which unlocks the Musketman, a powerful ranged infantry unit.
