In a dream sequence, Jim Carroll (Leonardo DiCaprio) is seen holding a pistol-gripped Ithaca 37 when he enters his classroom. The Ithaca from this movie was eventually auctioned in 2018 by Heritage Auctions

In a dream sequence, Jim Carroll (Leonardo DiCaprio) is seen holding a pistol-gripped Ithaca 37 when he enters his classroom. The film in the ensuing years caused some controversy as some critics commented about the similarities between this sequence and several real-life shootings such as the Columbine tragedy.

Mickey (Mark Wahlberg) finds what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 36 during a robbery. He then holds it when he confronts a dealer.
